Manasarovar International Hotel — Hotel in Lhasa

This seems to be a three star hotel. The hotel is a huge one specifically designed to accommodate large groups of people. Therefore there are 2 bed 3 bed options that are available. Well maintained large rooms and clean sheets and comfortable bedding. Language is definitely a big problem as people do not know to speak in English. Wifi facility was available though it was not upto the mark. Huge dining area and well attended restaurant. The complimentary breakfast spread was also very good with a lot of vegetarian options. It is also located close to shopping area and a Buddhist temple. The large lobby and huge front entrance of the hotel gives it a grand look with ample car parking facility. Good hot water was available at the hotel. However the Air condition was switched off in all rooms. It becomes a little stuffy in the night time and one may have to open the window during August month! One has to also be very careful about the usage of towels. If the towels are soiled they charge you 100 Yuan. We could not just understand the logic of why they should provide towels. Such behavior is not in line with start accommodations. Good airy rooms with all five star facilities including bath tub. It is a huge hotel housing around 400 to 500 rooms. Only worry is language, even the reception staff doesn't follow English. But one good advantage they are having a translator device where you can type in English and they get it translated. The electronic keys for room is a mess here. Terrible very Terrible my travelers ; ( |We are modest people and travel on a budget but this place is below any class. Switch rooms 3 times. Yes that's how bad it is. |All rooms Stink like moist. |First room bathroom filthy. |Second room carpet looked so old and stained would not take shoes off. |Third room was ok considering it's just for one night. |Not worth photos my friends just be advised.
