First I have to say the location is wrong on Google Maps and I can't change because it is not supported for China. The actual location is opposite the lake and it's along Zhanlan Road and next to the Quanshun Shopping mall. Location wise it is very good, next to the mall you can get food anytime with quite a selection, if you get a good room, you get a great view of the Kaiyuan lake. It's very near the metro station less than a 5 minutes walk and only 2 stops away from the Luoyang Longmen railway station. Of course to the old city is a bit far you can take the metro or didi but I would recommend didi for a faster ride. Arrived at 230pm and was told the room wasn't ready. I told them I have to attend a conference at 3 and then I waited about 10 minutes and the room was finally ready, but was told some of the items might not be in the room like the slippers which they would replenish in the evening but didn't happen. View of room was great. Had a full view of the lake but was told there is no musical fountain, only happens in special occasions. The open concept of the bathroom is quite interesting which I liked, but didn't like it that I have to walk to the door to switch on and off the lights, no switches by the bedside. Facilities were quite decent, the indoor heated pool and a small but self sufficient gym. A pity that I stayed there for 3 days but didn't get to use the facilities at all because was too tired with the walking and the mountain hikes. Have to commend this staff at the concierge John who helped me and provided me with a lot of info, especially like getting to Shaolin temple and the Longmen Grottoes. Gave advise and help me checked on bus and train schedules, taught me the apps to use to get those information. Not a bad stay would give it more of a...
Read morevery poor customer service. charged us $10000 RMB at the first night as the check in. They took the money and should give us the credit for $2530 RMB back to my visa. It happened on March/14. this is after 3 weeks, Credits not returned yet, No one follow up. Very shallow international sense. Deposit should never be charged when we check out, especially they can't be credit back. Now we have left Luoyang, suppose to have a great experience but the receptionist were very professional. Why did we have to pay $2530 without using any extra service. and after 3 weeks, there're still no expiations. For a Big international Hotel like this, it's very...
Read moreI stayed in Room No.1916 for a week. It is located at the heart of Luoyang, which is about 2 hours drive from Zhengzhou International Airport.||The hotel is facing Kaiyuan Lake, surrounded by major shopping malls and commercial amenities.||Most of the employees provide excellent standard of customer service, and the best in my memory are Cindy from the Hotel Reception and Timber from the Restaurant which provides Buffet Breakfast.||My only complain was the lengthy waiting time during the Check-In process, which should be further improved. ||Overall, it was a great stay in a...
