I stayed in this hotel, in room 4012, for 3 nights. I was quickly checked in and immediately confronted with the elevators and the sophisticated floor access system. This was very high tech. There were 8 lifts. One pressed the room key against one of the card readers and it informed you which lift to take to get to your floor. It was more complicated if you wanted a different floor. In that case you had to key in the floor you wanted. It seemed to work efficiently on most occasions but sometimes the wait seemed long. There was a hotel staff member to help guests on the ground floor.||||The room was wonderful. Large with a great view over the surrounding area. Very pretty at night with many coloured and flashing lights.||||There was a large bed, work desk, tv, sofa, wardrobe and espresso coffee machine. For this five pods were supplied. There was also instant coffee and green and black tea.||||The bathroom was large with separate bath, shower and wc. The bath had wonderful views over the surrounding area. A screen could be lowered to protect ones privacy. The shower worked well, lots of hot water, similarly with the bath. Toiletries comprised the usual conditioner, shampoo, body lotion and shower gel. Bar soap and bath salts were also supplied. There was a clothes drying line that could be pulled out along the bath.||||There was a good size safe in the wardrobe. Also an iron and ironing board.||||Wifi generally worked well without any interruptions and seemed of average speed.||||The bar on the 57th floor had wonderful views over the surrounding area. Surprisingly, on a Thursday evening it was deserted at about 2200.||||Breakfast was on the second floor and was buffet. There was a very wide selection, comprising Chinese, western and sushi. There were also fresh fruit, yoghurts and fruit juice. Coffee and tea were also available. Surprisingly, I could not find any pastries, rolls or bread. I might have missed them and had breakfast only once.||||I also had the buffet dinner on the second floor, on a Saturday evening. This was very busy with lots of kids running around. I did not know what was going on but luckily I was with a Chinese lady who got a table for the two of us. Initially the restaurant said it was full. Reservations only. We think a lot were outside reservations which, if so, seems hard on the hotel residents. There was a great selection for the buffet. Lots of fresh fish and shellfish, plus Chinese hot food, fresh fruit, cakes and beer! Ice cream was a big hit with the kids!||||In my room, there was no noise from the rooms either side. However, the Chinese lady said she could clearly hear the noise from people having a shower in the adjacent room when she was in the bathroom, but not in the main bedroom.||||This was a very comfortable hotel which is mainly used by conference attendees. I recommend this hotel highly and would certainly stay here again. It does tend to be a very busy hotel because of the conferences. Several can take place...

Read moreWe felt fortunate that we were able to stay at the hotel designed by the famous lady architect the late zaha hadid . It is a beautifully designed hotel on the outside with lovely lights at night. It is also close to a beautiful designed bridge and a nice park where you can walk at night to see the lovely array of light colours. There is a mall nearby about 5 minutes walk mainly made up of restaurants. No 7E of sorts nearby. There is carefour but you may need to take a cab from the hotel. ||Hotel staff are helpful but language is definitely a problem. The ones that can speak english too sometimes misuderstands our requests.good to always double check. When we requested for maps there was none in english. ||Our room was on the 26th floor. The room size is huge and tastefully designed. However the first day we arrived we thought the room was warm and maybe it needed a while to cool. We thot wrong. It was pretty warm throughout the 3 nites.when we complained, they gave us a standing fan which we thot was hilarious.Turns out the upper floor rooms are the ones facing this problems when we compare note with frens. The ones on the lower floors did not have such problems. We thot it pretty weird for a beautiful hotel to have such a petty issue and was unable to rectify the aircond without a proper explanation or they also did not offer us another room.||I took the opportunity to swim in their beautiful large pool. However was suprised to see that it was quite dirty. The base of the pool was with brown stains. Granted the pool guy was there cleaning the pool when i came but that was already 10am. The pool came with lockers to keep ur items. There is also a jacuzzi n sauna. They have nice gym facility too.||Apart from that ,the hotel beds were comfortable and they had a tub facing the skyline which was beautiful at nite. ||Just do something about the very...
