Sofitel Zhongshan Golf Resort Nanjing — Hotel in Nanjing City

This hotel is idyllic and you will definitely relax. Whoever designed these rooms should win an award. It's one of the most stunning interiors that I've ever seen for a room. It's absolutely gorgeous. The service is pretty good. There were minor issues with communication at the front desk as I had paid a deposit on the app and they had me pay another deposit there. And then when I booked out, there was a bill again. But we eventually cleared it out. It was just a little bit unclear from the app side. The view, I asked for a nice view. This was something that I asked for but I don't know if they were fully booked. The view that I got wasn't great. I just watched cars coming and going the whole time. So I would have wished for a different view if it was possible. The food was very lackluster. I did not go out. I ordered two rooms and it was very expensive. I paid 68 Chinese Yuan or RMB for oats and 68 for a cup of tea. The oats were very, very watery. I couldn't eat it because that much dairy wouldn't be great. The tea was basic. I ordered a salad the previous night. It was around 38 RMB. Not too expensive but it had no dressing. So the food, I would just go out to eat. Don't bother to order into the room. All that saying, the room was beautiful. It was clean and definitely relaxing. Some lady, I asked for a HDMI cable and she brought it for me. So the service isn't bad either. Global stay pretty good in this wonderful beautiful in the middle of a park but as the hotel will close up, many services and amenities are left abandoned without much care, unfortunately.||||Big disappointment is that the hotel in the middle of a park and golf but it is forbidden for people like me to have a run around. They proposed us to run along the highway nearby.... Absolutely revolting while you are in the middle of a park, it was not a refreshing stay as expected.||||But pretty nice room, service was good, good terasse at the lobby but also in the room (we were facing the tennis, so not so pretty as we expected but all the rooms were under renovation apparently)||||The night buffet and breakfast buffet was not up to expectations for a Sofitel, can be much better.||I found some mold smell into 2 cakes and waffles but explanation given to us was that the butter use give this smell/flavor (I work in pastry industry, never heard of such things), better say that they use expired product||||Anyway, the hotel will close for some reason, lets see what will replace this very beautiful building with such a...
