I called the hotel with the telephone number on the confirmation letter provided by Expedia the night before our arrival and was told there was no such a booking. After some back and forth, it appeared the telephone number was that of their sibling establishment. Anyhow I wanted to enquire about airport transfer and Mr Zhou Han was really helpful and assured me the hotel representative would be meeting us on our arrival at the airport. Yes, we were met, and with another guest, we were brought to the hotel in a very spacious people mover. From the outside, the building facade looked dated and we weren’t impressed at all, although the grounds were nicely layout and very well maintained. The insides were very much better. Reception was friendly and efficient and we were put on the third floor with a view of the mountain. It was a very nice room indeed, with all the amenities expected in this class. But a step above was the provision of 1 set of bath robe and another of dressing gown. We had asked for 2 separate beds and they were very comfortable indeed. The bathroom had a separate shower and bath. It was very spacious throughout. Housekeeping was good. The included buffet breakfast had enough variety to satisfy most people, and the quality was good. However, one little complaint had to do with the made-to-order eggs. Whatever way you want it done, as long as it was over “hard”, you should be very happy indeed.||||In line with the Resort in it’s name, the facilities were all nicely appointed, from an indoor swimming pool to the really very relaxing grounds. Everything was well maintained and in excellent order. The service personnel were all very friendly and warm. Special mention goes to Miss Winnie Zhang. She took great care to attend to our every request, with poise and efficiency. She was also a great source for information on local happenings. Thank you Winnie for making us feel very special indeed.||||I will definitely stay here if I am visiting...
Read moreMy wife and I recently stayed at the C & D Resort (also known as the Wuyi Mountain Yeohwa Resort) next to the Wuyi Mountain Scenic Area for three nights. The hotel is very well located, with our room having a beautiful panaramic view of the Wuyi Mountain range. While requiring a taxi or Didi to get to the South Entry Gate, this was easily arranged on the two days we were at the park and was only about a 15 minute drive away. It's about a 40 minute bus ride from the Wuyi East Railway station and the airport is about 15 minutes away. In addition, the Impression Da Hong Pao show is located on the same road as the hotel and only a 15 minute walk away. There are several restaurants located just across from the hotel and many throughout the immediate town, plus there is a very large supermarket directly across from the hotel. The hotel has two restaurants, a Chinese and a buffet. The buffet provided a large variety of Chinese and Western dishes at both breakfast (included in the price of the room) and for dinner, plus you can also order off a set menu if desired. We ate out one night and the other two at the buffet which was obviously very well managed as the wait staff was very attentive, used dishes were quickly removed, and any special requests quickly adressed by the staff. At least some English was spoken by many of the wait staff. Our room size was very good, clean and well appointed, especially the bathroom area with both a shower and a large tub, and the hotel was very quiet, providing a very good night's sleep each evening...
Read moreMy overall rating is 4.5 for C&D Resort at Wuyishan . ||||I have promised the front manager to write a review for the hotel. We stayed in this resort for two nights during our summer trip to Fujian province in the end of July. Since there was no any hotel within walking distance to the Wuyi Mountain National Park, my expectation for a hotel was : 1. near the park so that we could came back for lunch; and 2: with many choices for dining. And I must say that I made the right decision for choosing C&D Resort.||||The location was GREAT. It was close to the park, the Dahongpao theater and surrounded by many nice restaurants. This was in fact very important factor. Because you would not find any restaurant in the park and it was very convenient to go back to the hotel for lunch and then went back to the park again in the afternoon. From the balcony of the hotel, you could see the famous Dawang Peak. ||||The hardware of the hotel was not actually 5 star, but better than most of 4 star hotel. The room was not as spacious as most of resorts, rather it was more like business hotels. Bur service was 5 star standard and making your stay very comfortable. The food was definitely five star standard, both the breakfast and the buffet dinner. However the service at the restaurant was a little chaos in high season.||||I would choose the resort again if we went to...
