Nantong Marriott — Hotel in Nantong

This is a nice, newer building with views of the lake, which has a nighttime fountain show on weekends. Located right on the lake with a park to walk to and nice jogging track nearby. 5 minute walk from a new area with several restaurants (Chinese, Vietnamese, Italian and Japanese options), 7-11, Burger King and Starbucks. Otherwise, a bit out of the city center.

Executive Lounge is nice, Bella the lounge manager is wonderful (staff tries to shoo guests out 30-45 minutes before stated end of drink hours when Bella is not there, even turning down lights and sweeping under our feet and starting to put away the drinks. This happened both times Bella was off). The lounge serves good sized buffet of mostly local offerings (with chicken nuggets nightly for those who don't like the local food).

Gym is large and well set up. The pool is a disappointment. You are not allowed to take towels not the pool area (locker room use only) and a shower automatically drenches you as you walk from the locker room to the pool, so you cannot safely take a phone, book, etc and towel to relax on the loungers poolside.

Breakfast is very poor, organization and the quality of the food is very low. My expectations of the Hotel is that Organization and Quality detail is missing and staff are not focused because they have limited experience and limited guidance.||Breakfast is offered to everyone to bring the people into the Marriott Hotel, to let them explore the environment, very good marketing technique but the staff are just not ready and the food is to a very low standard, based on other Hotels that are in the Nantong - I would base my rating 3.5/10 this is the maximum I could give based on my first breakfast experience, I would have to see significant improvements before I returned back.||I just expected a better experience - environment.
