I stayed about one month in 2024 here, and then one week in March 2025. The building is relatively old, but fairly well maintained; e.g., the gym machines are old, but work still fine. By the way, some local gym members exercise without their shirt or shoes on, which is "disturbing'', but the people managing the gym do nothing about the problem, despite that I pointed out the problem a number of times. ||They have a big pool (about 25m long), which is rare these days. Also their sauna is good as it is hot enough with a water-spraying faucet. The location is good, although the main city attractions are across a river, which one can get to with taxi or subway (only a couple of stops away), and there is a subway station close to the hotel. A big shopping center is nearby.||The hotel staff members are all very responsive and eager to help, including the front desk and concierge. As a Bonvoy platinum member, the best part is the club lounge and the staff there including William---I only managed to remember his name, but had their name badges been bigger, I would have been able to name more members who are all very helpful and diligent. The food and drinks there are fine.||If you stay for a long time, Sheraton Ningbo provides the best value for money, because their rates are about 20-30% lower than the other Bonvoy hotels such as Westin or Marriott, and yet the rooms are good size (about 35-40 m2?), and they provide laundry credits (100 Yuan per day) in club rooms that is cumulative. So, staying in a club-level room, food, drink and laundry problems are all solved. ||I will come to Ningbo for a long-term stay again, and definitely, Sheraton Ningbo will be my home away home, as well...
Read moreI have regularly stayed at this hotel over the last 4-5 years racking up several hundred nights. Pre Covid this hotel was by far my favourite in Ningbo City. Since covid they shut down the once vibrant executive lounge and only recently reopened it but dont offer breakfast or the mini dinner buffet which is a shame as this was one of the biggest draws for this hotel. (Marriott in Ningbo has kept their lounge open to full capacity throughout covid for reference).
My recent stay was frustrating and despite repeated requests over years reminding the staff that I don't need or want a room upgrade i just want a room that isn't 24 degrees as it is simply to hot for me to be able to sleep in. The staff know I request this, because every stay over the last five years I have brought this up and changed rooms almost every stay. Yet every stay despite me writing and asking in advance to my arrival the staff are unable or unwilling to take the 5min to check and find a cooler room for me. instead they obviously prefer to move me in and out of multiple rooms every stay wasting my time and theirs.

Read moreHave just been approached in the lounge by the lounge manager, claiming that an issue that the hotel has already resolved was not the hotels fault. They charged 2 different amounts to my card electronically, then claimed they only charged once because of a piece of paper they had, then called to say the amount would be refunded within 10 days and I thought all was good. Then the lounge manager decided to approach my wife to tell her it was not the hotels fault??!! Please explain how a guest could possibly make 2 charges for 2 different amounts to my own credit card from the hotels system? Unbelievable and for a manager to choose to approach a customer and “discuss the issue again” in the lounge at a busy time. Basic customer service training might need refreshing.||The gentleman working in the breakfast restaurant was excellent, remembered what my wife and I had to drink the previous morning and brought them to our table.
