Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Ningbo — Hotel in Ningbo

There is nearly nothing redeeming in this hotel. We stayed here on a business trip with my family. There is no air conditioning, but only heating, and the heat level is the same for all rooms. So when it was incredibly hot in the room, we were told we could open up the windows. The windows with no guard rails, so my toddler son could climb up and plunge six stories to his death. ||||We were initially given a room with a dangerous table for my toddler. The first room had loud music playing from below, with a view of the stage. I'm not sure how to describe it, as I've never seen its like. There is a giant hall for conferences and performances, and the hotel abuts that hall. The view from the room is of a ... wall, with a tiny view of the stage, and a whole lot of noise. We were told that the hall is actually not part of the hotel, and then were later told it is. ||||The new room we got had a view of... entirely the wall. To be fair, we could now see the people seated in the chairs below. And yes, lots of noise. Did I mention the wall? It meant that you couldn't actually get any breeze to cool down the place. So no, I didn't get any sleep. Which, in my opinion, is the main purpose of a hotel. Basically, they don't know how to hotel.||||I must say, we did appreciate the loan of a child-size robe, with child-sized slippers. That was the one redeeming feature of the hotel. They were cute.||||The room had English-language channels, including ones for kids.||||The food in the buffet is simply atrocious. Most of the time I picked through it like Dick Cheney looking for evidence of WMD. There was just nothing there that was palatable. ||||Considering all the difficulties we had, we did ask for the hotel if they'd be willing to accommodate us on a small item....

overall good stay at centre of ningbo city, but reception service dropped compared to last time, no automatically serve welcome drink. The reception not so polite couldn't find the immigration entry date and a little rude to ask us to show. But luckily butler is good and waiting at the floor 16th when we came out the elevator. Guide us to room and ask for hot milk/dessert delivery at night, and arrange for fragrance essential oil at the toilet. The aunty butler Mr. Zhang is helpful at 16th floor on 22nd Nov 2023 night stay. They have inhouse japanese restaurant taste ok. Breakfast was ok. The executive club lounge the lady was helpful with a sweet smile named Mila, keep it up all the way...

This is truly a gem of a hotel.

Being the first stop on a two city business trip the second hotel, in Ningbo allowed me to appreciate this beauty more.

The rooms are big, spotless, well appointed and super cozy!

I would wait with anticipation until the breakfast buffet would open because each morning was like Christmas morning and the breakfast presents the chefs prepared where stunning! Well done and yum!!!

I never had a service issue so testing response and timing didn't come into play.
