Arrival at hotel was dull. Staff at check in counter was rude and seemed irritated at the fact that we were foreign guests. No one helped with our luggage or pointed us in the direction of our room. Arrived at room and it was spacious although the lights were difficult to navigate. Room only had one towel for us all. Breakfast was terrible and NOT Western at all as advertised. I wanted to get some juice for my daughter and was told off by some lady. Ended up with some pastry and watermelon. Second morning we had missed breakfast by a few minutes as I had thought breakfast closed at 10:30 instead of 10:00. There was one friendly lady who tried to accommodate us with some left over breakfast items, but all other staff seemed visibly irritated by the fact that we have arrived late and made no effort to hide it. They kept checking their watches with the visible irritated expression on their faces. We left with a cup of coffee and some juice with three slices of banana bread. Although it was my fault we missed breakfast, I believe it could have been handled a little better. Gym was nice and had everything you needed. The pool was great and we enjoyed that. Overall we got the sense that this hotel did not really want us there and staff seemed irritated at the fact that we were foreign guests. This hotel is affiliated with trip.com, of which I have been a member of for a very long time. VERY...
Read moreI stayed here for a week to attend a conference which was organised in this hotel. We travelled as a couple from India and we liked this hotel for all the amenities. The hotel staff was very kind with respect to all of our requests and the entire stay was hassle free. The hotel staff talked good english. The restaurant attached with the hotel had very good dining options and the stewardess(sorry i cant recollect her name, the lady with short haircut), was very friendly and understanding, helped me a lot in getting vegetarian meals cooked specially for me. The pool was quite big, but make sure you carry your swimming clothes and headgear, since we thought the ones what they sell there was little more expensive. ||The room was quite huge and the tub was too good. As per the location was concerned, although its quite far away from the city centre, it is accessible via Qingdao metro. The metro station is walkable (Horticulture expo station) and is well connected to anywhere in the city.||While coming from the airport, it takes almost 1 hour via taxi and was charged around 100Y. But if you are coming through the bullet train, you can take the...
Read moreI chose to stay in this hotel as I wanted some silence after hectic Beijing and before going to even more hectic Guangzhou. Location is close to mountains and hotel is new and comfortable. What is little bit problematic is the fact that the area has practically nothing else but apartments. No restaurants or such, so you are forced either take a taxi almost an hour to downtown or just eat at hotel. New metro is under costruction and there is a station coming up next to hotel. Then the travel distances will...
