My stay at the hotel has been a bit of a roller coaster.Positives:The room service is extremely good. I would come back to a clean room with enough toiletries, water and alcohol wipes. Super grateful to the lady who was cleaning my room.Areas to improve:1. The first room had an issue with the heating. I had to go to four different rooms to resume the issue. The whole experience was frustrating and the staff didn’t seem to care.2. I was moved to a twin room despite the fact that I didn’t want to move there - the hotel checked in a customer to that room on my last night at the hotel. he was making a lot of noise at night. My calls to the reception didn’t help so I didn’t sleep much that night. 3. Breakfast was repetitive and there was never food in the plates. The quality also depended on the shift - one day the food would be good, the other- way too oily. The same could be said about the dinner buffet.4. For two days in a row my food would be cleared from the table when I would get up to get a coffee/dessert. This changed but the aftertaste is still bitter.5. In-room dining was a good experience, but again the same dish ordered on different days was different. 6. Cafeteria staff are all wearing gloves but can touch their phone, handles etc and then slice waffles without sanitizing the hands/gloves. Kinda...
Read moreSo disappointed! ||This is my fifth or sixth stay at this Hyatt, the most recent was June 2025. Up until now, my experiences have been positive.||I checked in tonight (after 11:00 pm). Check in was pleasant and efficient. ||I get to my room and it smells like cigarettes. This is not unusual in China, but you merely need to request a room change and problem is solved. I went downstairs and explained the smell and asked for a room change. The young man said he would walk back upstairs with me to look into it. He sniffs the air and makes a pointedly quizzical look, conveying he didn’t smell anything. I held my ground so he called maintenance for an ionizer. I again asked to change rooms but he said no rooms (in this massive hotel) are available. ||I just tried to take a shower (after a 28-hour travel day) and the water never got hot. I tried both the handheld shower and the rain shower and neither warmed up. The sink has hot water though. ||There is no point in me calling to report it. ||I expect...
Read moreStayed at the Hyatt Regency hotel alongside the Shilaoren Beach. Waking up to an amazing ocean view in a comfortable spacious room with an amazing shower and bathtub. The room was spotless clean but the amazing part was the view of the ocean every morning. The breakfast buffet was amazing with alot of selection of western and chinese dishes but the only downfall was that it was the same dishes every day with slight changes. It would have been nice to see more variety in dishes such as introducing pancakes and more milk/yogurt options. The pastry section was limited, having some more options would have beeb great but an overall good breakfast. The location of the hotel is ideal with a 5-10 min walk to the subway station and has alot of bars and coffee shop options along the beach with a 5 min walk toward the Qingdao Sculpture Park! I would return back to the hotel again, as i had an...
