Hyatt Place Sanya City Center — Hotel in Sanya City

We stayed in both Hyatt Place Sanya City Center (for easy access to the local attractions) and Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay Resort (to rest & relax) during this Sanya trip.||||Hyatt Place Sanya City Center - We chose this hotel because of the good review from tripadvisor. This is a new hotel with great location. Unfortunately, I really wish the front desk could take more interest and initiative to assist the hotel guest (as tourist).||||Just to name one incident we encountered: ||As mentioned above, we had to move over to Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay Resort after a 3 night stay in City Centre. Not sure if Haitang Bay resort will offer hotel shuttle bus transfer, I approached the reception to enquire if they can provide the email address of Haitang Bay resort. I rec'd a straight "NO" from the staff without further assistance. When probed further, I was asked to search on the website, etc. I felt a bit offended as I would not have troubled them if the hotel's wifi is working fast enough. Thereafter, I was referred to another lady for further assistance. The conversation did not go very well either. Hence, I requested to meet the hotel manager and realised the lady is in fact the front desk manager. OMG!!!||Requested/Insisted that she has to make a call to Haitang Bay instead. Glad that she is willing to help and iron out the matter eventually.||If the staff is willing to go the extra mile in the first place, our customer service experience will definitely...

Hi,||I stay at hotels 80+ nights a year and most of them are Hyatt hotels. I am a Globalist with Hyatt.||First of I will start with the good: The hotel is well decorated and the rooms were comfortable.||Now the bad: The service was HORRIBLE.|-staff allowed guests to smoke in the lobby and elevators! They seemed afraid to comfront peolle to tell them smoking was NOT allowed. |-everywhere smelled like smoke (lobby, restaurant, elevators and hallways)|-Breakfast staff are NOT well trained and threw away our food multiple times even though we were jot finished. They even gace away our seats to other guests when I had got up to get kore ora ge juice. |-breakfast items were not replenished|-breakfast staff was very rude|-cigarettes and trash on the floors of the lobby, hallways and elevators||We did not have a good stay here. This was a service FAILURE and not up to Hyatt standards.i even sent the hotel a survey review asking to be cintacted and they never contacted me.||Do not stay here if you are looking for...
