On the positive side we had a nice large room on the side of the hotel with a more than 180° view and balcony on two sides. The hotel is not on the beach but is very close and the hotel swimming pool is nice. ||Neutral : most other hotel clients were Chinese or Russian. I think they advertise international TV channels but we didn't have any. (As it rained a lot we spent more time in the room than we normally would).||On the negative side : Breakfast could be a lot better - there's no tea for example. (One morning there was even Coke and prawn crackers ...). As in many Chinese hotels communication can be a problem - it just depends whether you deal with someone who speaks (some) English. ||The main problem for me was that this hotel is a lot further from Sanya than Google map makes you believe (at least 10km). The hotel has a small restaurant with English menu but otherwise finding somewhere to eat can be an issue - there's either small cheap Chinese restaurants (not always English menu) or you have to walk at least several hundred metres to find a decent hotel with English menu. ||A taxi from the airport should cost no more than 20 RMB (make sure the driver uses the meter).||TIP : Take a bus (2RMB) or taxi (15 RMB) to Fat Daddy's restaurant for a nice meal in a Western atmosphere. Avoid roadside BBQ stalls where unsold fish is frozen and defrosted again...

Read moreThe website is very promising and tempting..........Stating Western and Chinese Cuisine, International Television, massage and spa's.................||||The staff speak enough engligh to see you through check in, after that communication is a struggle. The breakfast is 100% chinese, rice, noodles, chicken wings, dumplings.||This is a fantastic hotel for the chinese. I struggled here and Sanya Bay beaches were very quiet with very few restaurants surrounding. I spent a little too much of my stay getting taxis out of town or to better known chain hotels to eat familiar & decent cuisine.||||Sanya is a very beautiful and romantic destination - If i were to come back i will stay in another hotel which is traditionally less...
