Newly built, design-oriented hotel, not too big. Beautiful rooms, spacious bathroom with walk-in shower. WLAN free of charge but filtered as usual in China i.e. all Google applications do not work. Extensive breakfast buffet as usual in Asia. Staff friendly but not everyone speaks English. In total a recommendable 4* hotel. A point deduction because of the location: a new high-tech area is being built there, but besides offices and a FamilyMart there is nothing around the hotel ... no restaurant neither. Tip: since the hotel is new and therefore unknown to taxi drivers, be sure to have the address and a map in Chinese with you. Both are available in the Marriott Bonvoy app. You can also use the app to check in and open the room door!
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel during early October 2019 and because that stay went so well, we stayed here again in early January 2020, which went just as well!||||Firstly, I would like to thank Tracy (reservation manager) for helping us find the best rooms for our short stays. We stayed in the same Aloft Suite for both occasions and the rooms were perfectly sized, clean and vibrant coloured to match the Aloft culture.||||The hotel is not located near the CBD, but it's the closest Marriott to Pudong Airport, so if like us, you have a next day early flight to catch at PVG and would like your Bonvoy elite status well recognized, then this 4-star hotel with 5 star service would genuinely be recommended. ||||Breakfast at Nook shows a great variety of cuisines to choose from and honestly, the selection is better than quite a lot of the 5-star hotels in the Asia Pacific. In-room dining on our first stay was also nice with one of the tastiest 'Cai Fan' that made us remember our childhood days (we were born and grew up in Shanghai). It was definitely cooked in a local Shanghai style! Unfortunately, this dish was no longer available during our January stay...||||Overall, two fantastic short term stays and I would definitely recommend this high quality hotel to anyone looking to stay close to PVG or perhaps visit...
Read moreI stayed at this location for business. The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the Zhongke Rd station on line 13. The room was specious with a little desk, sofa, and TV. The AC/heat is so quiet. The wall outlets next to the bed had adapters built in and had two USB ports. It was just so convenient to be able to plug my computer and phone.
Both the room and the bathroom were very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. They had a laundromat on the third floor, right next to the gym, with three American-size washer and dryer. It is free to use, but the detergent pods were 45 RMB, which is quite expensive. Some of the front desk staff spoke English, and I did not have any issues with communicating them. The breakfast both provided Chinese and Western style, and there were so much to choose from. Near the metro station, there are quite a few...
