This is the first time for my father and me to stay in this hotel. We have a nice experience here.
We booked the hotel through booking.com . The price was reasonable.
The bed room was spacious. The layout also unique. The bathroom was small but nice. Make sure you bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush otherwise you have to ask the hotel to provide it for you. This is the hotel initiative to promote less plastic use. The soap, shampoo still provided by hotel.
The nearest train station is Kangxin Highway station. You have to walk around 300m. Be prepare for windy and cold in November when you walk from hotel to train station. The good thing for Disney lover, this hotel is very near to Disney Shanghai. You just need to go by train for 1 stop to reach Disney Shanghai.
The hotel also provide free shuttle bus to Disney, Pudong airport, and Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). You have to register 1 day before. It takes around 40 minutes from hotel to Pudong airport. Please make sure that you know which terminal of your airlines.
The hotel officers were nice and friendly. Even though the majority can only speak little bit of English, but their attitude was appraised. I want to say thank you for Mr James that were very helpful. His English also fluently.
The breakfast was delicous. There were many choices ranging from Chinese food, Japanese food, Western food. The layout and decoration were nice.
There was a robot that can deliver the goods to your room. Its voice was very cute. Unfortunately, you have to be able to read Chinese letters and use Wechat to use this robot service.
The gym has 3 treadmill equipments and othet equipments. There was outdoor swimming pool.
Overall very nice and...
Read moreNovotel Clover was great for our family with 2 children (from NZ). We chose this hotel for their shuttle service and proximity to the metro station on line 11. We utilised the shuttle several times; from the airport, to and from Disney and the Bund. You must book the shuttle in advance and arranging the airport pickup was difficult - there was no email available, so I had my Chinese friend phone the hotel on my behalf before leaving NZ. Once there though, language isn't a barrier; the staff make a great effort with each using a translator or providing their WeChat account - I recommend doing this. A few staff spoke English. The hotel is a short walk to the station; we caught the metro back from Longyang Rd station, which was easy. The highlight of staying at Novotel was the warm and helpful staff, and I enjoyed the quietness of the area. There's not many shops around but there's a convenience store at the hotel, Costco nearby and a few small places to eat behind the G hotel. Our room was a family theme on level 3 (323), and our family enjoyed it. Shanghai was hot and it was always a relief to get back to the hotel, though the general temp inside may have been a little more enjoyable if maybe 2 degrees cooler.Breakfast has plenty to choose from, with lots of calories to power the family through the day. Overall, an enjoyable 4 day stay and we wouldn't hesitate to come back, even if we weren't...

RECENT REVIEW BASED STAYED ON 22-26 DEC24 All goods , Housekeeping auntie was great, always ready to help. Staff all good EXCEPT ONE, the one in RESTAURANT CONCIERGE NOT WEARING GLASSES on 25th night,
I went there to claim my welcome drink that stated can be used until 10pm, but she said only till 9pm with sour face. So i threw the welcome drinks card on her to let her read, once she read she told me that reception officer make a mistake and i felt no need to argue with this lowly officer. So i skipped the welcome drinks,
The rest of the stay was great. Surrounding area hard to get food at night, the shaokao (bbq) and fried rice is a scam and taste bad. (Not...
