Platinum Hanjue Hotel — Hotel in Shanghai

I stayed in this hotel for one week. This hotel is mostly suitable for Chinese prople because the English language of people at the reception desk and also Supermarket was very poor. The breakfast was excellent with mostly Chinese traditional food which I loved. The room I stayed at was very large, good for couples. Location of the hotel is not very good and the distance to downtown is very long but the good point for shpping is that Pradise shopping center is very close. There are also Starbucks, McDonald's and such non-Chinese brands...

I’ve stayed in this hotel 4 times since opening and the service quality has steadily improved. My only real complaint is they regularly break Shanghai law but allowing people to smoke in their lobby and throughout their hotel. It’s pretty disgusting. There are ashtrays everywhere that openly encourage it. I expect this type of thing in the Chinese countryside, but not in Shanghai and not at a hotel that is otherwise quite nice. I am very happy to say that this was one of the best hotels i ever been too. Very convenient with the restaurant below and shopping mall. I would like to just point out that the staff at the reception need to be a little more prepared and that you put a security guard because on the day we were there one drunk guy was insulting the ladies....
