If you are going to the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park (or the Fengxian area) then this is is a very good hotel for this area|||This is ||- very large hotel with several buildings|- good rooms|- good breakfast with choice of Chinese/Western and holt/cold food|- the staff all speak English and are excellent |- there are several good restaurants including a Japanese|||The only negative is that there are people smoking inside the hotel, but this is the same in all hotels in China, wherever you go.||So if you don't smoke you need to ask for a non-smoking room, which is the 12th floor.|||A large number of the guests are foreigners, mainly going to the SCIP.||They can organize travel to SCIP which is 20 mins, by||- public taxi|- hotel car|- shuttle bus if there is a large number||||It is in a large town called Nanqaio and the main shopping street is a few hundreds metres away.||There are many good restaurants within a short walk.||About 2 miles away, which is a 10 minute taxi ride or a 45 min walk, there is a very large shopping Mall which includes restaurants of all types, including western food such as Italian, Starbucks, etc|||To go into the centre of Shanghai city takes...

Sorry Vegitarians. The Blue cheese was nice if your into that. Lots of "non-breakfast type" chinese breakfast food that westerners wont want to touch.||||The "manager" was not willing to offer a better price in return for a new frequent customer. ||His poor forsight to see the big picture is evident from many of the reviews I have read. However, 1 year ago I swore I would not go back after 3 bad experience in a row. Today (1 year later) it is a bit better, but I will not be going back. Read moreThis hotel is on the main Jianghai Road in the Fengxian district of shanghai, rooms were clean and tidy, meals were the traditional Chinese foods but you could put together an 'english' option by looking in the turines - fried eggs are made on request.||||As you'd gather by the title, the hotel is suitable for many occasions and basic Chinese shops are all around the hotel which make good daytime wanderings possible with larger shops not much further away.||||The only 'BUT' would be to say that this is in a very Chinese area and NOT 'touristy' so if this is what you're looking for then it might not be the best first choice, it is worth adding that the locals are very welcoming and helpful.||||my stay at the hotel and in the area was purely for business and the hotel suited the business...
