it's quite a new hotel and you can tell from all the fixtures and infrastructure. however, their staff needs more training for sure. they didn't seem to be familiar with the system, it took extremely long for check-in. then while waiting, we saw many people went to the lift then came back saying the access card didn't work. then it happened to me too. so it's a true existence that the cards (or the system) wasn't sensitive enough. the room was good, quite spacious (i confess i'm using a wide lens for the photo, but indeed it's spacious). but the bath tub wasn't clean, can see some dirt floating on the water so i didn't dare to soak.
breakfast included in my booking. it was so-so. i think the best thing was the freshly made congee with beef/pork but it wasn't available every day. i only saw it on the first day, then 2 consecutive days afterwards, it's only the rice roll. i had a gluten rice mochi, in pink and filled with savouries, but it wasn't good. the one filled with leek was good but just too oily. getting back to normal with egg and toast would be the best wise decision.
i also had a dinner at its chinese restaurant Man Ho and found it was good. however it doesn't have a separate place marked on Google to let me share. should i wait till it's available? (google didn't allow me to add a missing...
Read morePros: 1. the service is great! Yeli at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. Introduced the area and shops for us. 2. the Cantonese restaurant is good. (Don’t order the lobster porridge, not worth the price) the rest were quite nice. The breakfast was amazing. Even better than four seasons in Guangzhou as Marriot has more freshly cooked options. Worth getting the buffet breakfast when booking rooms. 3. the sea view is very nice (if the weather is not foggy)4. locations: is convenient but not too central. A shopping mall right next to it, but the shopping mall is very quiet and not a lot of shops opened. Cons:1. The room is good but not splendid. It’s a new hotel, open in 2022, and you can see breakage here and there already. Perhaps the erosion from the sea breeze is that powerful? 2. location: it’s by the sea/harbour, a new development area, so if you want a quiet, relaxing hotel, happy to just eat at the hotel and no mood to explore, this will be suitable. If you want to visit other area, then taxi is your friend. And be mindful when it rains, it will be difficult to get a taxi. (The 4th picture is the lobster rice porridge-not...
Read moreThe location of the hotel is in a new development zone, no other major landmark shopping mall could be found, but this makes the hotel enjoying a quiet environment at least, at current time. Hotel is a new built, facilities are new, and the staff, too.
I only stayed in the Executive Lounge after their happy hours, but the environment is good, a young lady who offered assistance in preparing the soft drink added mark to the lounge, particular offered a small stand for my handset, appreciated.
The assistance offered by Yeli, a front desk staff, on the trip to the island was greatly appreciated. Thanks for her recommendation, I did enjoy a good beef hot pot in town.
The only comment is to the staff who handled the health club, particular for the lady changing room was not up to standard. Though the time was 9pm, no tissue found in the changing room, and only one ashbin placed inside the changing room, a bit out of imagination.
The breakfast also out of imagination, a big variety , very impressive. Need to...
