Manju Hotel — Hotel in Shaoxing

I go to Shaoxing very 2-3 months and usually stay in New Century Hotel. However this time I could not get booking in this property so stayed in it’s sister concern “Manju Hotel”. Here is comparison of the two:|* Location : Both hotels are perfectly located with Manju a step higher as it is in main road and many restaurants are very close by. |* Cleanliness : I found Manju Hotel much cleaner. Stayed in 15th floor and rooms are quite clean compared to New Century. Definitely Manju will be by first choice if we talk about rooms and other area. |* Price : Almost same |* Breakfast : Definitely New Century Hotel have vide range of choice in compared to Manju. However Century breakfast area is very busy and crowded, Manju offers limited choice (not bad until you are a big eater) |* Facilities / services : New Century have English speaking staff @ front desk and also quite easy to correspond. Manju Hotel have no staff who can speak English. This is a big drawback of Manju. Century offers GYM hall however Manju Hotel do not have any fitness centre. I've stayed at this hotel couple of times, primarily for its proximity to 2-3 Indian restaurants (less than 300m). Rooms are relatively bigger than what one would get to see in big cities. Has 2 seat couch. Shower area and WC are adjacent, and the door arrangement is bit weird, its a glass door with partial film, which swivels on a hinge and at any given point, would cover either shower area or WC and without any locking mechanism. ||As with most of the hotels in China, TV channels choice with English program is very limited.
