Wyndham Shaoxing Keqiao — Hotel in Shaoxing

This hotel is one of my top choices in Shaoxing. The property is nearly brand new, and my wife and I stayed here for three nights during a business trip. It was a wonderful experience, and here’s our detailed review:We stayed on the 51st executive floor, specifically in room 5128, which offered a stunning lake view and an impressively spacious layout. The room featured a proper bathtub, his-and-hers sinks, and a separate section for the shower and toilet, divided by transparent glass partitions. However, the lack of privacy in this setup could be uncomfortable if you’re sharing the room with a colleague or business associate. Since I was traveling with my wife, this wasn’t an issue for us.Service: 9/10Although most of the staff didn’t speak or understand English, they made a genuine effort to ensure guests were happy. Language barriers in China are common, but using a translator app helped us navigate communication seamlessly. Night shift front desk manager Lynn was very helpful and spoke English properly. She also recommended Cleanliness: 10/10The housekeeping team was highly attentive and thorough, keeping the room spotless throughout our stay.Breakfast: 9/10Breakfast was served at the Manhattan Restaurant on the 45th floor, offering stunning views. The buffet featured a great mix of Western and Oriental dishes, including a wide variety of cheeses, croissants, a self-serve ground coffee machine, fresh fruits, and a selection of dumplings.Location: 7/10The hotel is about 20 minutes from Shaoxing North Railway Station, which was convenient for us. However, the immediate surroundings don’t offer much— the nearest convenience store is about a 8-10 minute walk. We used DiDi for all our trips, so this wasn’t a major issue. For shopping or dining, Wanda Plaza Mall is about 12 minutes away by car, offering a variety of restaurants, including McDonald’s, KFC, and Starbucks. We highly recommend trying Green Tea, a local restaurant on the mall’s third floor, for delicious food at reasonable prices.Overall, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Check in was difficult staff don’t speak English || Water pressure was not good for shower they fixed it but still pressure less than usual staid 6 nights AC WAS not working properly I complain 4 times in 4 days still they didn’t fix it then I give up ||Staff not friendly and NOOOO ONE speaks English ||I had only breakfast IN HOTEL I was not happy at all cooking station didn’t speak English and no menu you have to use your sing language which never works so break fast was coffee for me ||BUT ||property is nice ||Room size and view amazing ||Location in nice near stunning lake ||House keeping great ||No better option so I hope they improve...

New hotel.|Pros. Big rooms nicely fitted out . Food is marginally better than tianma (previous best) but still not great.||Cons . Location is in the middle of nowhere. If you are on foot need to walk 20 minutes to nearest cluster ofbships and restaurants . Staff are pretty hopeless. The while operation though Wyndham by name is very chinese. They wouldn't let me charge dinner to my room. ||All in all not a bad choice. Nice flash rooms. But in going back to tianma just because of location. Fyi location in Google is...
