沈阳华府天地莱星顿酒店 — Hotel in Shenyang City

We stayed in Shenyang for 6 days and this hotel was close to our son's apartment. We had a junior suite, which was very large. A large living area consisted of a sofa and two chairs and of course the TV which was a flat screen. The living are also had a mini bar which was not included with the exception of the coffee/ tea. The bedroom was huge and also had a small office area, desk and chair. I did ask for wi-fi in the room and that request was accommodated. The bed was comfortable and there was a chair, TV, and safe in the bedroom. There is no privacy between the bedroom and living area; it is an open area. The safe can be cranky and is a bit cumbersome to use. You have to push a button behind the door, enter the code, then enter the code again. The safes need to be replaced and updated. There are shelves in the bedroom. I would have preferred a closet in the bedroom for convenience. The closet (small) was located just inside the entry door. The bathroom is very large, huge soaking tub ( bring your bubble bath) and the shower is wonderful. There is the usual amenities: blow dryer, mirror attached to the wall for make-up/ shaving purposes and sewing kit, bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. there are also two bottles of water for which use to brush your teeth. You are provided a pair of slippers every day. The hotel was quiet, very clean and restful.||||The breakfast buffet was very good and have they had so many wonderful choices. American style choices, Asian choices and even some European meat/ cheese choices. Of course, there are also made to order items. I wish the coffee would have been better and the juice was a wee bit watered down. You will not go hungry!||||Like another reviewer, I was dismayed that a soon as you enter the hotel lobby you are overcome with the overwhelming smell of smoke due to no restrictions anywhere with regard to smoking which is very common in China. I felt like I was visiting Las Vegas back in the day. The lobby is adjoined by a lounge which would have been nice place to relax,but the smoke was too much. ||||The location is excellent, close to the subway (which we took to Imperial City) and is a few steps away from the mall, which has excellent choices for food and also has a great grocery store.||||The staff at the Lexington were very nice and accommodating and I appreciate all the hard work they did to make our stay pleasurable.||||I would return to the Lexington again on my next trip as the price and location were worth putting up with the incessant smoke. I will say that for all the smoking going on in the hotel, our room did not smell smokey, nor were we annoyed by smoke wafting...

Ich war zum ersten mal 2009 als Dienstreisender im Lexington Richgate Hotel. Damals war es meiner Meinung nach eines der besten Hotels in Shenyang. Seit dieser Zeit war ich noch öfters Gast dort, was mich später auch dazu bewogen hat, als Longstay Gast im Lexington zu wohnen (länger als ein Jahr).||||Zur Ausstattung des Hotels: ||Das Gebäude liegt direkt an einer der Hauptverkehrsstraßen von Shenyang und ist direkt mit einer Shopping Mall verbunden, in der es unter anderem ein Kino, KTV, Billiard und einen Supermarkt mit vielen ausländischen Produkten gibt.||||Man betritt von der Straßensteite aus die kleine Lobby. Links daneben ist ein Bar, die zu einem „Absacker“ am Abend einlädt. Es stehen 6 Aufzüge bereit (manchmal auch nur 5, oder 4, je nachdem wieviele wieder mal Out of Service sind, was durchaus längere Wartezeiten verursacht), die die Gäste dann in die insgesamt 28 Etagen bringen. Ein kleines Fitnessstudio befindet sich in der 7 Etage, das Restaurant, in dem auch gefrühstückt wird, in der 28. Einen Pool gibt es nicht.||||Gutes English (wenn überhaupt) wird, trotz der vielen ausländischen Gäste, leider nicht von vielen der Angestellten gesprochen. ||||Die Erfahrungen, die ich dann während diesen längeren Aufenthalts gemacht habe waren Anfangs noch ganz in Ordnung, aber je länger man dann dort wohnt, desto mehr fällt einem auf, dass der Standard immer weiter sinkt. ||||Die (ständig wechselnden) Bedienungen im Restaurant sind zwar teilweise sehr bemüht dem Gast jeden Wunsch von den Augen abzulesen, einige stehen aber auch nur in einer Ecke und ignorieren, dass sich schon schmutzige Teller auf den Tischen stapeln.||Gleiches gilt auch für die diensthabenden Restaurantmanager, welche man auch öfters erinnern musste, dass das Lexington ein internationales Hotel und keine billige Absteige ist. Als ein junger (vielleicht 5 jähriger) Gast Eiscreme mit dem Portionierlöffel vom Buffet gegessen hat und diesen dann wieder ins Eis gesteckt hat, konnte ich nicht umhin die Managerin vor Ort über diesen Umstand zu informieren. Diese hat erst ein wenig amüsiert gelacht, dann aber doch kapiert welche Bedenken ich hatte... und den Löffel austauschen lassen. Nach nochmaligem ermahnen wurde 5 Minuten später auch die Eiscreme ausgetauscht. Gleiches gilt für kleine Käfer auf dem Käse (mehrmals passiert), das ist aber eine andere Geschichte...||||Die angebotenen Speisen können den Vergleich zu den anderen internationalen Hotels in Shenyang nicht mehr standhalten. Die teuren Sachen, wie zum Beispiel Müsli zum Frühstück, wie man es aus Europa kennt, sind verschwunden, aber wenigstens gibts noch Haferflocken...||Wo früher jeden Tag mit einem anderen Motto (French, Fish, American,...) ans Abend-Buffet gelockt wurde, dünnt sich heute, das nicht mehr sehr abwechslungsreiche, Angebot immer weiter aus.||Der einzige Grund warum ich die inkludierte Happy Hour im Restaurant in Anspruch genommen habe, war das kostenlose Glas Wein am Abend, da dieses ja gesund fürs Herz sein soll.||||Die Zimmer sind, sofern diese zum hinteren Teil liegen, sehr ruhig. Sehr positiv ist, dass alle Zimmer sehr geräumig sind und große Fenster haben, die viel Licht herein lassen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist hier als sehr gut anzusehen, auch wenn man dem ganzen die 5 Jahre Betriebszeit schon ein wenig ansieht.||Nur der benachbarte Servieceaufzug ist etwas zu laut. Wenn dieser an einer Etage hält, gibt es jedesmal ein lautes rummsen, was man im Zimmer leider auch vernehmen kann. Besonders störend ist dies zur Schlafenszeit, wenn der Aufzug vom Restaurantpersonal bei Schichtende benutzt wird.||||Noch ein Wort zum Management: früher hatte ich das Gefühl, das Management kümmert sich um seine Longstay Gäste. Die letzten Monate meines Aufenthalts fragte mich aber keiner mehr, wie es geht und ob alles in Ordnung ist.||||Fazit: wenn man im Hotel leben möchte, ein großes, helles Zimmer bevorzugt und auf das Essen keinen Wert legt, dann ist das Lexington durchaus noch zu empfehlen. Ansonsten gibt es mittlerweile einige gute Alternativen...

I stayed in this place on 2 occasions last week for a conference organised by our company...as i live in Shenyang i did not actually sleep in the hotel, but had a chance to look at the rooms and the conference facility....well, rooms are indeed huge and well appointed. with mini fridge and a safe...as other said here: rooms are too hot and no way to turn it down even with windows open. No wifi in the hotel is a big miss and would not stay here becuase of the lack of it.Conference facilities are nice, but service staff slow and looking like they really do not want to be there....sleeping behind your desk is not a good sign....food was reasonable, but having 2 banquets you might assume that there is a bit more creativity in food choice.....the meatballs that were not eaten were found back in the soup the next day....and then: why use your maintenance staff ( you know, the guys who make repairs in their blue working outfit) to bring food into the banquet hall.....cannot afford enough decently...
