Checked in on Thursday and within 3 days have changed 4 different rooms. One room had a broken door lock but that didn't seem to phase hotel staff. The other rooms were sitting on 28 degrees with a window open and portable fan working. Temperature of rooms have been disgustingly hot causing me to have headaches. Room temperature is set and can't be changed. I asked for a cooler room several times and struggled to get one. Eventually settled with a room that had a temperature of 24. I have had more then 16 staff stay in this hotel in the last 4 weeks and 95% have reported back that the room temperature was unbearable. Its time to change hotels as Crowne is no longer interested in customer satisfaction. All staff rooms were booked as "Non Smoking" but again it didn't phase Crowne to place staff in smoking rooms!!! Its even more disappointing when they lie and tell you its non smoking when it clearly is not. One room I was changed to was on level 10 and they claimed it was non smoking yet it stunk of cigarettes and had an ash tray!!! Go figure. Whilst staff are pleasant its not acceptable that a hotel that caters for internationals not have people who speak and understand english. Duty managers in particular should have proficiency english skills. |The bar: has a list of cocktails yet at least 5 or more on the list can't be ordered because they tell you they have run out of cranberry juice... For godsake Tesco is down the road! I asked for several cocktails in Sept '17 and was told out of cranberry juice, back now 7 months later and funny enough out of cranberry juice. How about you just update your menu and stop playing games with customers. |Smoking: I understand that China is behind with smoking regulations but something needs to be done. ||Have stayed in this hotel for years but I think the time has come for change. Standards have dropped dramatically and hotel management don't seem to care. |This is how they treat long term IHG members so imagine how others...
