Pyongyang Restaurant — Hotel in Shenyang City

Came to try this North Korean restaurant out of curiosity. Good are really delicious. Only 2 of us visiting so we didn’t order much. What we had was North Korean style kimchi, then with the Pyongyang cold noodle (chewy noodle), bbq pork and beef (they have their famous dog meat if you dare to try), corn juice( intro by the waitress, served hot, Pyongyang famous), Nd the fried dessert with the sugar icing( don’t remember the name). We paid about 600RMB for all, which is quite reasonable to us. If come in certain timing they will have North Korean performance, which we missed it. Excellent service. Not really sure how I feel about supporting the regime, but it was great to build some time with the wait staff. At first, being American they weren’t that stoked (tell em your Canadian) but by the end of the dinner they walked us as far out as they could (they can’t leave the building). Does not accept Korean customers. Firstly waitress pretends to not speak Korean, after going through three languages to ask for a table she suddenly speaks perfect Korean to say they don’t accept Koreans.

Many stairs before any tables would make this very unfriendly for another genre of people.
