It's located near apartment complex. You can go figure yourself, what to expect. This apartment complex has two gates from different side of the complex. When the first time you get there you should ask the taxi driver to take you up to the lobby, or otherwise you have to walk on brick roads from the gate to the lobby. It is not far, may be around 50 meters, but if you have to drag your language on the brick road, that would be something!||||As in most of hotel in Shenzhen, only few of the hotel staffs can speak English, even for the receptionist. It took us half an hour when we got there until they can find our room. Problem was, they have to spell our non-Chinese-names letter by letter to compare between their system and our passports. And as you may guess, they gave the room mixed up and was not as the booking preferences we made earlier in booking.com. Thankfully for us, our Chinese friend came and fix the problems. Same problem happened when we had to ask direction and ask them to write it on the piece of paper for taxi driver. Point is, it was hard to communicate with hotel staffs in English.||||I stayed in the 19th floor on Deluxe Business Room for 2 nights and on Executive Suite Room with 2 bedrooms for the last night. In my opinion, the Deluxe Business Room is better since the it is spacious and has big bathroom with nice and cozy bath tub. While Executive Suite Room with 2 bedrooms has limited space to get around and the bath room is smaller and doesn't have the bath tub. Make your on choice.||||I like to take MTR if I went to Shenzen, and this hotel is located quite far from the nearest station. By foot it will take you about half an hour. Instead of walking, you can take a ride with electric bike from the MTR station to the hotel, and it will just cost you about CNY 6. But from the hotel to MTR station, you really have to walk, or just take the taxi to your destination, though it is not easy to stop the taxi near the hotel, most of the time the...
Read moreAs previous reviewers have suggested this is located within an apartment complex and is a converted apartment block. This means you have 2 lifts for the hotel - services included. This means you could be waiting a while as they load laundry on at each floor. ||||Rooms are more than spacious. They are well kitted out, wifi works well when you connect but every time you phone/tablet sleeps you lose the connection and have to reconnect. Painful and I hope it is sorted out. ||||Bathroom is nice with a nice bath and shower and the room was always kept clean. My room had a balcony overlooking the other apartments which offers an interesting "peak" into the homes lives of the local people (think Rear Window!). ||||The staff are courteous but do not speak English well at all. This didn't bother me as I have some limited knowledge of Mandarin now and also rely on google translate, plus one of our colleagues came along to help when necessary (checking in for example). ||||They do not take AMEX which is annoying as that's the corporate card. ||||The bed is hard, which I quite like, and the pillows soft. All linen was nice and clean. For me the best thing was the darkness of the room. So many hotels I stay in make it like a disco at night with flashing firelights, nightlights to the bathroom, LED's on TV's and DVD's and goodness knows what else. I find this so irritating that I travel with electrical tape to cover them up (seriously! I need darkness to sleep, or stay asleep!). This place didn't need it, it's dark, it's great. Based on that reason I will probably stay here again, although I do miss my creature comforts of a Western brand hotel with the extras and...
Read moreUnfortunately, I stayed there while they were renovating the place. (Stay on 23rd floor, floors 7 - 18 under renovation)||||Suffice to say, the kitchen and the bathroom were facing "under renovation" sections, hence the air quality was poor.||||Location: not around tourist spots (if you could say Shenzen have tourist spots? Well, it's not in the central district, so transport-wise, it'll be Taxis)||||There are plenty of food "shops" in the surrounding area, so that's find. The hotel also provides breakfast for 3 pax (for whatever reason, as the apartment is a 5 pax apartment?) but the breakfast spread is so so only.||||Amenities: kitchen, kettle, showers, tv, etc... no wifi available, cable broadband available, but the cable in our apartment was damage, so didn't bother to get a replacement.||||One thing though, the ELEVATOR was excruciatingly slow! there were 2, but one was meant for the renovating people, you could still use it if available, but generally, it was terrible, we waited from 10 -15 minutes...
