金沙湾海滨度假区 — Hotel in Shenzhen

The Kaisa Marriott Golden Bay is a nice resort located 30 minutes south of Pingshan. It is not a business hotel, but can be convenient if your business takes you to the Pingshan area.

Kaisa is likely to become a huge crowded resort town, there is lots of ominous construction going on all around the Marriott. It is quiet during week days, and stuffed with noisy families during week-ends.

My Bonvoy titanium status got me upgraded to a nice sea view room on the 6A floor. This is the prime location to be in. Wings B, C and D are way on the other side.

The room was clean and in excellent question, with all amenities expected from the category, the trademark high quality bedding etc ... No desk, but a table for work.

The executive lounge is on floor 6A and served decent food during happy hours im the evening. Breakfast must be taken at the main buffet on the ground floor. It is a nice, huge buffet, and quiet enough if you go at the opening at 0630.

The fitness room is not impressive but has the basics covered.

The beach is nothing to write home about but provides an opportunity for a walk. Hotels ground include 3 swimming pools if you are not afraid of the crowds.

Staff is polite but basic command of english is scarce, even at the reception.

The area is remote, do not expect taxis or didi to be roaming around but i had no issue getting back and forth to Kaisa buy booking my didi in advance.

Destined to become an overcrowded family zoo, but for now, if business takes you in the area, the Marriott Golden Bay Kasia is a very decent choice.
