Erstes Zimmer Klimaanlage defekt, Zweites Zimmer zu viele Moskito Wurde dadurch in der Nacht mehrfach gestochen. Drittes Zimmer wurde in meiner Anwesenheit Moskito Gift gesprüht. Unmöglich 😡 Leider kein Standart für ein Hotel der Hilton Gruppe

Gwen was efficient and friendly as she checked me in at the DoubleTree Hilton Shenzhen Airport Residences. There are two Hiltons that share the same building. One is Residences and the other is just a regular DoubleTree. The Residences has a small kitchen and washing machine. One of the mysteries is that there was no cookware, silverware, dishes or anything for the kitchen in the room. I didn't need it, but I meant to ask, but I failed to do so. ||I was here to get some rest and to some work and found the room comfortable and spacious. With 1.5 bathrooms, a sitting area and two tables that one could work on. On in the sitting room and one in the bedroom. I enjoyed the view, but it's called a "park" view but it's a cluster of trees on the roadway. Not really much of a park, but it's green and nice.||The bathroom was well appointed and the bathtub and shower were good size. The towels were soft and the best was firm without being too hard nor too soft. ||I went to the Executive Lounge both nights and it was really a delight. It's a great space and Cassie made me feel comfortable right away and got me some tea and got me settled in before the food arrived. ||Allen in the Executive Lounge seemed to be part con, part waiter, part bus boy, and he kept things moving along and was checking in on the guests and serving them great noodles. ||While I missed Cassies warmth the following night as she was replaced by Kiki. One of the oddities in China is that often in restaurants they let the used dishes pile up on your table and don't take them away. That isn't the case here, and while I did spend an extended time out on the wonderful wrap-around balcony taking some pictures when I returned to my table my drink and food were gone! lol.....||When I was standing next to my clean table, Kiki rushed over, apologized and promptly went to fetch essentially what I still had on my table when I had left. It was a credit to her that she is on top of the space, with great enthusiasm and we laughed about it and enjoyed the rest of the Executive Lounge stay other than when the gin dried up. ||It something I have noticed in more than one Executive Lounge, is that they don't seem to have a spare bottle of their bar at hand. It takes some time to get a replacement bottle. Seems it would make sense to keep spare bottles in the Executive Lounge area. ||They also had an odd mix of mixers and liquors like grenadine and such that seemed better placed in a bar that some serious mixing would be going on, but they had the basics to make most people happy. ||The first night when I returned to my room, it was hot. When I was shown to it they had changed the temperature to be cooler but it wasn't working. ||Thank goodness Huang, one of the housekeeping specialist was there. She got the temperature right in the sitting room, but there was an issue with the other control. She quickly got an engineer, Weller up there. He did some engineering things while Huang made sure I was comfortable, set, and that Weller would finish up so that I could have the proper temperature. She was great to have help me at 11:00 pm as she was very friendly and attentive using the translation app to find out what was wrong. ||The pool is a great pool! And they have a larger hot tub with showers on them for an invigorating water massage. A dry sauna in the locker room was a great treat. ||Breakfast was good, but its very Chinese, no surprise, but no salt or pepper is on the table, not unusual in China and I had to ask for a knife and a smaller spoon for my tea. The food was good and a wide range in their very sunny dining room. Oddly the bread is in two locations and if you want a good break you cut it and have to walk it over to the toaster.||When checking out there were some problems with the computer and it took a bit of time, but the gentleman helping me was professional and thoughtful during the wait and ended the stay on a great note. ||I will return. ||This is a review that apparently I started and never finished, but it just popped up and so now will post it....

I was at the property for a staycation in Shenzhen, and what was out of my expectation was that my unpleasant experience started with the very beginning. I had shipped one package to the hotel. The concierge staff acknowledged my request of claiming my package and left me stranded while fulfilling requests of guests who are after me.|| ||All staff at check-in displayed brutal unprofessionalism in the process. Ryan, the staff who checked me in at first, did not even remember the proper room codes in the system and he did not greet me as a Diamond member. He then asked a lady with name started with V (a manager or captain I suppose, I did not recall her name) to complete the rest of the process. I started to feel weird because the check-in process was not smooth at all. The lady assigned the proper room to me and left me to Ryan without completing the entire check-in process for me and left me stranded. I understand that interns or junior team members need more hands-on experience, but the decision of leaving the process in the middle without explanation is also not a wise choice in the service industry.|| ||Also, the front office staff (Rex) is lack of sense of compliance. My room was not ready at the time of check-in, which was understandable since it was only around 11am. Therefore, I would need to wait for my room, which was fine. One of the team members handed me the room key despite the room status is still “dirty.” I am certain that this breaches the terms that no room key should be handed to the guest unless the room has been cleaned and inspected.|| ||The room they assigned to me was also unsatisfactory. I was assigned to a room with extreme level of noises, both coming from the bathroom’s ventilator, refrigerator, and the air-conditioner. Fortunately, I was later changed to a room with lower level of noises. I received no apologies or a single piece of explanation for the incidence occurred...
