Shenzhen Kaijia Hotel — Hotel in Shenzhen

We arrived late and they couldnt find our booking. But hey that happens. I can excuse that. So then they put us in a room on Level 7. As i entered the lift the cigarette smoke blew in from the Night club within the hotel. If it wasnt already midnight i would have left. So we get up to our room and the room was dripping with nicotine. I had bad Asthma due to the smoke. The room was neat and tidy. The next morning we went down to have breakfast. This is not a health standard that is excepted in Western countries. It was disgusting. The chefs had very dirty uniforms, the tables were sticky and wiped over badly. The chairs has stains on them and burns etc on tables. The hot baking dishes had filthy oily dirty cloths held around the handles. There was grime in all the cracks around the place. The benches had marks where food had run down the sides but never wiped up. Just left there to dry. The lack of western food & unfriendly staff in the restaurant was the least of my problems. Its cheap for a reason....

I stayed in this Hotel for abouy 3 days in September 2012. Rooms are clean and service is average. Location is very good , one block from nice Shooping Mall and close to bussiness center and Train stations... Negatives is that coffe shop is very limited menu and very small. Staff not very capable with English so a bit hard at times to get information across...||||In a pinch I would go back and for first bussiness travelers it can be ok if you have a local help with...
