The hotel shows signs that it has seen better days despite renovations some years back.This is evident from the decor, cabinets, carpets etc in the room.which are visibly aged,.There was no central heating in the afternoon and only came on at night and in the morning when the outside temperature was around 10 degree centigrade. Read moreI was very disaprpointed with this hotel. It was not as advertised. It is listed as a five star hotel but it is run as a three star hotel. They claim to be an international hotel and spa with hot springs. But this is not true. Breakfast lacked essential: no coffee, tea, fruit juice, very limited fresh fruit- no orange apples, bananas, pineapple, papaya, mangos etc. They advertised as a hot spring but there is no hot spring. The hot tub area is closed. The water in the hot tub was not chlorinated and was not fresh water fed. Front desk was unable to give much useful advice about local attractions. Read moreWe were in the hotel before the check in time. The male receptionist was friendly and helpful, he upgraded our room to a better one. Their cleaners are polite. Free fruit in every room. The location is a little far from the valley entrance and we only took didi there. Next to the hotel is a bus station where we can buy a return bus ticket to Huanglongjiuzhai Railway Station easily. The hotel's breakfast was so so. In my room the water pressure was very low. Then my friend's room in their toilet was clogged. The weather in early June was really cold and rain drizzled at noon time. Overall this hotel should get 3 stars not 4 stars...
