Had two brilliant week long stays and will definitely stay again . Really convenient to the Japanese department store that left outside of the hotel and across the huge crossroads . Through a little landscaped 2 minute walk through the park . The department store has an excellent supermarket and fresh food in the basement - salads and Chinese and Japanese food as well as food courts and subway close by line 1 yu shan Lu. It’s about 7 minutes to get there. Larger gym full size with everything on the upper floor of the department store too if you need . Gym in hotel was basic but does the trick as you are working. Great little neighbourhoods nearby too about 1/2 km if you want a taste of local foods . Ask reception for directions. Staff were super nice and helpful especially front desk and the housekeeping. Breakfast is great if you like Chinese food - plenty of choices if you are not expecting a full on continental style . Otherwise Starbucks at the mall or bakeries in there . I appreciated the jianbing lady at the cross roads in the morning if You want to try that . Only negative is that there was cigarette smoke coming thru the vents from neighbours so really wish that the hotel would have a stricter policy on this . It took several days of spraying the room to get the smell out. It was better the second stay as neighbours were not...
Read moreA team of ten of us from the US stayed at this hotel for two and a half weeks. The location is half a block from the nearest subway station which made getting to many places around the city very easy and being at the intersection of two major streets made it easy for taxi drivers to find, being an 20 story building and with colorful lights that light up at night helps also. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the only complaint is WiFi connection is spotty and slow in the rooms on the higher floors. WiFi connection is much better in the hallways and in the lobby. The staff is very well mannered and were very kind to us. Most are shy with speaking English, which is understandable, but there has been no problem getting problems resolved. our room service needs were typically answered within couple of minutes. I cannot say enough about the staff, they had been just terrific. I do wish they had an exercise or weight room, however, I did make do with the 20 floors of stairs for a stair-master workout. Definitely recommend this hotel for travelers staying in Suzhou. No frills and fancy stuff, just good quality rooms, great location, and a...
Read moreThis hotel was chosen for the location near to the subway for transiting 2night here in this hotel, the amenities and facilities are great. Members allowed to utilise the fitness center. Front desk knowledgable about the local places to visit. The bedding was comfortable, however the only matter experienced during the stay was the air-condition releasing heat to keep guest warm and the room became very stuffy due to lack of ventilation. Hotel advised to open window, but because there is a building undergo construction, hence the room became dusty and caused sinuses problem for sleeping at night. Sneezed a lot! Otherwise, this hotel is good. Breakfast is fair, Spicy and oily. Uncertain about hygiene with regards to the kitchenette, they were wet (are tap water drinkable? Not sure if those were rinsed with tap water?). If possible, use steriliser or keep them dry. At the end of a trip, all we wanted is returning home happily and healthy. Keep up the good work. No one is at fault I believe, just keep a little attention here and there. Hope the...
