This Holiday Inn is very close to parent's home. The four day stay was a nice break away from house chores for family. Ms Yuan, the manager at front desk, helped add names of Mom and one year old kiddo with zero hassle. Appreciated that she helped to secure the room type we preferred for entire stay, quite a task on the busy concert Sunday.
Hotel staff are all nice to the toddler-to-be, making him quite curious and excited at the same time. Breakfast has enough variety, local buns, style noodles, congees, relishes.
Mom chilled for 4 days without need of cooking breakfast and lunch. Kiddo hyped during the day at stadium, slept soundly at night, missing home only for a bit the first night.

During the hotel stay, it was ok, but on the last day before my check out date, when I retuned to the hotel room, I found a small cockroach on my nicely made up bed. I expect a higher service from Holiday Inn Express during this pandemic. If they do not even see a cockroach after housekeeping service on the bed, I am not so certain that the hotel actually cleaning the room up to the health standard of sanitizing and cleaning everything.||||IHG sent me a request for hotel review and I wrote this post. No upgrade despite being IHG Gold member. I booked 2 other rooms for my colleagues (who are non IHG members) and got the same room as them.
