Holiday Inn Kunshan — Hotel in Suzhou City

My first stay at this place was not too smooth. First we had rooms that faced the high-speed rail that has trains zoom past almost every few minutes (up till 11pm). Second, out of 4 colleagues, 3 of us has bad stale smoke smell in our rooms despite being non-smoking.rooms.

We were told initially that the rooms on the other end were fully booked but after some insistence, they changed the rooms for 3 of us. We tried the post smoking treatment and the original room still smelled bad (non-smokers will understand).

My new room that I changed to, the secondary small security latch was damaged. One of the downlights was flickering as well. There was no bathroom hand soap until I had to request from the chambermaid team to replenish it on next day.

I understood the staff are trying their best but it is just not the most smooth flowing stay I had for work.

Spacious room & comfortable bed with different type of pillows to suit you( soft & hard). Room cleanliness slightly lacking as there were stain marks on the wash basin tiles. Front desk service was speedy & staff are friendly. Location within walking distance to Kunshanan railway. Have to be sure your room not facing the railway station. The front desk was kind to allocate my request if the room not facing the railway station. Thank you.
