Stayed for one night as part of SNA tour. Situated across from shopping mall with lots of eatery shops and a supermarket. Next door to hotel is a big square locals use for all sorts - there were people dancing, doing tai chi, playing sports on the field, kids were on their bikes and skates, we joined in the dancing - great fun! ||Through hand interpretation we found something to eat at the mall, sat on a comfy couch and had the BEST dessert there!| |Vast array of breakfast options at hotel (get there when it opens so it's not busy). Yes there was the smell of something in the corridor (like cleaning products were used to cover up the smoke) but places are what you make of it .. with so much bad reviews I'd say don't let it put you off your trip - we had so much fun by not dwelling on the one negative. ||Top tip: Learn the basic words for pork, chicken, rice, noodles-life...
Read moreThe name kills the place. When we arrived fellow tourists said Holiday Inn ... oh cheap!Let me tell you there is nothing wrong with it. The room had all that is required.in a five star. flat screen tv. King bed. pillow choices. strong shower. bathtub. writing desk etc.It is not a large hotel. The breakfast area is smaller with predominantly Asian dishes. (hey, most of the customers are Asian and we are in Asia).A nice change from European so get adventurous and try some of them. The best hotel coffee for a while. I went back for thirds. The aircon was good. The room was clean. OK a couple of carpet stains. So! The Cafe Latte made in the hotel coffee shop was made perfectly. Hard to get that back in old Aus. The hotel is centrally located. And yes I would definitely stay...
Read moreStayed here for one night as part of a Wendy Wu tour. Thankfully it was only one night. This was the worst hotel we stayed in during the tour. ||Positives; room was large and spacious. Breakfast was OK for China without the fight for a table.||Negatives; Room reeked of cigarette smoke and was generally not very clean. Bathroom could do with a good clean as there was plenty of black mould. ||Would not stay here again out of choice. Do not think it has any connection with the western holiday Inn chain as it is not up to that standard. This hotel would struggle to be a European...
