Le Meridien Suzhou Bay||||Spectacular hotel and even more spectacular service||||One in the morning I had a terrible fall in my room resulting in 20 plus stitches inside and outside my mouth.||||Desk managers (Adam and Carrie) immediately arranged hospital visit to Suzhou Number Nine Hospital and for solicitous hotel concierge staff (Adam) to accompany me for two follow up post minor surgery morning checkups. He also, after consultation, arranged car and driver to Nanjing - of course at cost - so I don’t have to carry my bags myself to and from the Suzhou and Nanjing train stations. Also sent me complementary special food the first day since I could only eat and drink through a straw.||||Overall this beautifully designed hotel gives a strong impression of being even better managed at least for this sort of medical emergency.||||And that’s not all. This was probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at and I travel often, it absolutely exceeded my expectations. I wanted to relax and a feel of my new environment because I had just moved to Suzhou Wujiang District, when booking I looked at the pictures and I thought it was beautiful but when I got there I was completely taken away. Carrie was kind enough to give us an upgrade to the lake view room, either than the lovely service, I think that update is what kept us extending our stay twice, instead of staying for two night we ended up staying for the week! All staff members are kind, helpful and most were able to speak English especially Carrie and Sunny. The room and hotel as a whole was super clean, the bath tub, the bed, the bathroom, I felt like I was in a different country. The hotel served lovely breakfast and had options of vegetarians. Not to exaggerate but I can’t find one thing to complain about, if you just want to get away from the noisy city, or just want a mini escape, this is the place! I don’t live to far from this hotel now, and I’ll definitely be going back just to spend two nights or so alone or with friends.
