Su Yuan Hotel Suzhou — Hotel in Suzhou City

Hotel was in a good location with many shops around it. Design of hotel was beautiful and it was lovely to be staying in a room that had a view of the small garden below us. Rooms were very clean and furniture were in excellent condition with amenities all available. The heater was working well in winter so i really can have nothing to complain about. ||||The bathroom although was see-through, for families you need not worry as there are blinds available to cover up the toilet as privacy is essential when travelling with friends and families!||||I agree with some reviewers who mentioned that many tv channels were available so i enjoyed watching the movies and relaxing in the room at night. ||||Service wise, it was average. Smiles and greetings from staff of hotel would have made the stay more pleasant and warm. Other than that, all else...

Well back to the same place, but never mind that. Stayed in the top room this time, Lake View Executive. Very nice. What a step up from the other rooms.||||I have to go back in September and I will stay again. The area outside the hotel now seems much nicer as they have finished construction next door. ||||The breakfast is Chinese, but quite good. They like the food a bit oily so not the best if you're on a diet. Great omelet, freshly cooked. And the boiled eggs were great. Stayed here as part of a tour group and it was a decent hotel. The layout is more spread out with the rooms centred around a central gardens and koi ponds. Rooms are typical Chinese dark with limited lighting options. Smaller washrooms but over all decent. Stayed in building 3 so the walk from the lobby to the rooms does venture outside under cover thru the gardens. Lots of construction outside as they continue to dig and build a central subway line under the street. Once this is done,it will make this location...
