Wyndham Suzhou Fenhu — Hotel in Suzhou City

The staff at the Wyndham was very nice. The breakfast food was quite good, and our room was spacious and clean. The beds were super comfortable. The hotel is on a nice lake with good views and walking or biking paths. The hotel has tandem bikes available to borrow.Other than the lake, there aren't a lot of options of things to do in the area, so come only if you're looking for a quiet getaway. There are some good Chinese restaurants nearby.The swimming pool is very, very cold. They should consider heating the pool, our kids were hoping to do a lot of swimming but couldn't stand being in the pool for very long. There was also some noise each night we were there--families being noisy in the hallway or music playing (not sure if it was from the street or from an event at the hotel). It got quiet each night by 9:30pm.Lastly, the rooms have several lights that come on with a motion sensor around the entryway and bathroom. This sounds like a nice idea but it is terrible for those who actually sleep in the room. Every time someone gets up at night to go to the bathroom, the lights go...

This hotel is awesome, the rooms are so beautiful and comfortable, the materials and details for the walls, lamps, tables and others are amazing. Rooms remain warm during winter time. For breakfast you will find not only local food but also western dishes including omelette, at least 3 different kind of cheese, baguette bread, variety of fruits, cakes and more. The gym is well equiped including Pilates equipments. In the same are there is also a nice swimming pool. There are other offers like a Spa inspired in a traditional Chinese garden, Starbucks shop, souvenir store and more. Finally, the location is also excellent, there are nice restaurants around, ATM, super market and others. It is easy to get to the water towns nearby and Hongqiao airport is 50 to 55...

I stayed a week at this hotel which is about an hour and a half outside Shanghai. The hotel is located right next to a beautiful lake. The room we stayed in was very large, extremely well designed , airy and pleasant. The room was very clean. The restaurant on the 2nd floor is amazing with an incredibly large buffet selection for breakfast and dinner. The manager at the restaurant was very helpful and made sure we got whatever we desired to eat or drink. The front staff at the reception was very helpful. One of them even came along to show us the directions to a very nice karaoke place!! I would definitely recommend this hotel. There is a very nice shopping/entertainment area within walking distance...
