Was thrilled to return to Taizhou Marriott Hotel after a wonderful stay last year! The exceptional experience I had almost a year ago prompted me to book the same hotel again, and I was eager to relive the excellence.

Returning to Taizhou Marriott Hotel feels like coming home. I'm confident that this stay will be just as impressive.

"A shocking decline in service and amenities from my previous excellent stay. Last year, I praised Taizhou Marriott Hotel for its exceptional comfort and hospitality. However, this year's experience was a stark contrast.
The room's air conditioning was woefully inadequate, with temperatures soaring to 28°C. When I inquired at the front desk, I was told that the chiller plant had been shut down due to low outdoor temperatures. I fail to understand the logic behind this decision, as indoor comfort should not be compromised based on external weather.
Furthermore, bathroom linens were subpar, falling short of Marriott's usual standards.
The hotel's decision to prioritize energy efficiency over guest comfort has led to a significant drop in quality. Unfortunately, this experience has soured my previous enthusiasm, and I will not return.

However, other than a bad check-in experience, I enjoyed my stay at the Zhejiang Taizhou Marriott Hotel.||||The guy who checked me in was friendly when I was at the front desk, but I was not happy when he came to my room five minutes after I checked in asking me for health codes and information that I had already provided when I entered the hotel. This hotel has discriminatory policies and I don't think it's good. I told him that there's no need to stigmatize against foreigners. ||||Anyway, the executive lounge is closed at this hotel due to the pandemic. In lieu of the lounge, Platinum and higher are given access to the buffet for dinner. The buffet has a lot of seafood and meat, and I enjoyed the food each night. The highlight of the buffet is the Filipino couple Pau and her partner that entertain during dinner. They are super friendly, interact with the guests, and their music sounds amazing!! After the sing at dinner, they continue performing in the lounge. I really enjoyed their music and they made my stay!||||I was upgraded to a very nice Junior Suite and I loved it!! The room was large. The only improvement that the room could use are softer mattresses (the mattress felt like a box spring!!)||||The decoration and general hotel design isn't the same as most Marriotts. I believe that it was probably an independent hotel before it was rebranded as a Marriott.
