This is the hotel we stayed in our recent trip to Tianjin. The hotel is located quite way out of the city but is in it's a resort style environment. It's a nice and big hotel and the lobby was huge and well decorated.

Our room was spacious, bright, clean and cosy, we rested well as the beds were comfortable. There's a big writing desk. The toilet was huge too, with bathtub. Room service was well done too.

However, the TV in our room had poor reception and although we had requested for room service to fix the problem (the staff didn't come instantly and so we went out and let the staff who came later to fix it). But having said that, the staff could not totally resolve the issue. Although the reception was slightly better, the TV still show "ghost and blurish" images! (after we returned a few hours later)

And they also install electric mosquito traps on the window (and even on the lamp of the writing desk) and if you are not careful, you will get "electrocuted". Although the effect was minimal, you won't feel comfortable. There's a small label on the window stating the mosquito trap but I believe very few people would have noticed it but no label on the writing desk.

Breakfast wise, the spread was large, with local and international cuisines but there's "hits and misses" too in terms of the food and quality. But the servers, mostly young boys and girls who may be doing their holiday jobs, were not up to speed to clear the used plates and were either playing with their phones or idling.

Location wise, as mentioned, it's way out of the city, and you will need to take Didi/Taxi to get there (which we did) or to the shopping malls which are about 6~8km away. Although nearby there are some eateries and convenience store, they do not offer much choices.

Overall, the stay was satisfactory but some of the areas as highlighted above can be...

Dear Management Team of InterContinental Tianjin.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to Doris and Grace from your hotel's Executive Lounge and to highly commend the InterContinental Tianjin for its overall quality of service.

First of all, I am extremely impressed with Doris. Not only does she possess a high level of professionalism, she also demonstrates meticulous care. When I walk into the Executive Lounge, Doris greets me warmly and is quick to understand my needs, whether it is to provide me with dining suggestions or to arrange special services. She is always smiling and attentive, ensuring that each guest feels personalized care and service. Her efficiency and thoughtfulness made the entire stay more comfortable and enjoyable and made me feel right at home.

Secondly, Grace demonstrated great patience and professionalism during the service, always paying attention to whether we needed help. Her friendly interactions and attentiveness were very heartwarming and Grace always showed up in a timely manner to make sure all our needs were met.

Last but not least, I would like to give a special shout out to InterContinental Tianjin for its overall level of service. The hotel has an elegant ambience and more importantly, the staff have demonstrated a very high standard of professionalism and service.

Thank you Doris and Grace, and the entire hotel team for your excellent service. I will definitely recommend InterContinental Tianjin to my friends and look forward to returning...

Overall Experience here

1/. Staff here all are quite nice !

2/. Breakfast rich and all waiter and waitress are very hardworking to do their job carefully, esp the waitress, they all with lovely smile on their faces. Super !

3/. I am very appreciated when I talked with your chef for the club lounge about small clip arrangement. He handle it very fast and have improvement immed. Quite respect guests" idea. Of course, must be reasonable.

4/. I found when have meeting here, the lounge bar only one lady here to handle, its very tired and I had been at there for one hour, she was up and down to handle and get some drinks to so many people. I hope your management team can find a person to help her when a lot of people at there.

5/. when I check out, I also found only one staff at reception to handle, as other staff is at lunch. I think at there need always have two persons during peak time, as many guests will check out around 12:00. I am lucky, as I am early to do everything.

6/. I also found guests at the lobby to take cigarette and ash is on the carpet or corridor. Must warn them not to do that !

IIn conclulsion, I like everything here esp the surrounding and hope when I be back here during Spring season, everything...

I slept here the last night on the way from Beijing to Seoul. The room condition was good and the morning meal was also quite good. It was nice that they showed their smile on their face.
