Lovely place - very comfy. Great staff, amazing entry area/bar. Food is lovely. Staff extremely helpful. I've stayed four times and will be back. Really good value for a hotel of this quality. The surrounding area is also very pleasant. ||Turn left out the door when you leave the main entry, then immediately left along under the freeway to get up to a beautiful lake - Yujia Lake, which is a little bay off Dong Lake. Dong Lake is one of the big Wuhan lakes where you can hire boats and electric bikes etc. if you can work out how to ... might need a local to help. (The small lake, Yujia Lake, is about 10 minutes jog away from the hotel, then about 25 minutes run around the lake. 7.5 km round trip... see my map). ||Lots of nightlife and restaurants nearby if you turn right instead of left along under the freeway and walk about 10 minutes (then turn right - really busy nighttime strip that gets busier the further you go. Cross the big road 15 minutes later and keep going to get to another nightlife area. I chucked in a map to show this full long-ish walk.||If you cross the road the hotel is on and turn right there are a few handy shops. The building with a KFC, just 5-10 minutes walk along opposite the hotel, has a small shopping...

Read moreI have been to many Hyatt hotels, under the Hyatt chain. It is an understatement that this hotel is probably one of the most luxurious hyatt for all the ones I have travelled. It should at least be branded as Park Hyatt instead, which I guess the location was the downside.||The hotel is filled with arts, Chinese traditional arts, and exhibited in a well thought out modern space. My room is covered by real hard floor and one should|Be easily tell the difference when you step on it. The hotel is over ten years old, but it has aged well, as you wont feel it is dated and the original architects’ designs have really shinned.||The hotel was rebranded from the luxury series, “Pu” and it wad called Pu Yu before taken over by Hyatt chain. Pu series hotel chain is a collection of hotels that focused on the Chinese culture blended in a historical location. You can still find the Pu series in China, such as in Beijing and Shanghai.||All the staff are well trained, so you shall have no concerns if you are a foreigner.||I have gave up on the Hyatt frequent traveller program but if I come back to Wu Han, I will for sure stay here, since it is...
