Very comfortable stay .The stay in floor 20 and 21 has added advantage esp if you are from countries other than China as you have exclusive benefits and makes it easier when language is the serious issue outside. The staff was very courteous and polite .The house keeping staff were very warm and cordial and she would make sure she placed 3 drinking water bottles by my bedside as she noticed 3 empty bottles by my bedside table the first two days . That made me feel pampered as I didn't have to walk across to pick up the bottle. Attention to details I must say was very key. The food spread was helpful esp for a person like me who didn't eat beef and pork. The sea food was amazing. The concierge staff took pains everyday marking locations on maps and helping with Chinese dialects to cab drivers. this was very very helpful .They would write it down in Chinese that helped us by showing it the cab driver Loved my stay and would definitely recommend the hotel to all esp people from other countries. Having stayed at Shangrila was a blessing as language was a very serious issue we found in the city and most of the staff could...
Read moretraveled to Wuhan to see a friend after spending the entire year of 2020 in Shanghai. Knowing the brand name and what to expect I was confident it would be a good choice but it exceeded my expectations.||||Service was excellent and the hotel was fantastic, especially the room that they assigned me as a free upgrade. ||||Using the Horizon lounge in the evening was good, with drinks on the house until closing time and a buffet from 6-8pm. Not into gyms or swimming pools myself but the lounge was spot on for what I was there for.||||Breakfast was very good as you would expect here but what impressed me the most was the service and how welcoming the hotel is. I will be back next time I am in Wuhan.||||If you are travelling to Wuhan, this hotel is superb value for money and really easy to get to - less than 20 minutes from Hankou via Metro. I have stayed in a few of the other top rated hotels here but this is by...
Read moreI forgot a phone charge in the room when I checked out int he morning and did not realize until at night when I was already in Shangri-la Nanjing. When I contacted the Shangri-La Wuhan, I have told that the hotel did not contact me because I left the US phone on the record. Is Shangri-La an international brand hotel? Why the hotel in China can't make an international phone call to let the customer know something is missing? How can you survive without a phone charge for a business trip today? Finally when I reached to the hotel lost and found. Someone asked me to send her my id through wechat for approval so that she can mail me the charger. Well, I have provided my check-in day, hotel room, and my room. For a phone charge, I will need to provide my personal information??? Ridiculous!
Terrible experience! The way this hotel handing the problems is very...
