This hotel is extremely new and it really shows - everything is very clean and in amazing condition, with very well trained staff. It is ~30 min by taxi from city center but really close to the lake and Li gardens, so perfect for a relaxed retreat! My stay here was extremely relaxing and as a new Bonvoy member convinced me of the value of the program. There are buses into town right outside of the hotel as well though. Here's what I noted:||||1) I was immediately upgraded upon check in as a Gold Elite member to a Lake View room that was spectacular! There was an amazing view of Lihu Lake and the mountains behind it. Super relaxing.||||2) The room was very new and in fantastic shape. There was a great very clean tub which I used nightly for amazing soaks. The TV swivels out so you can be in the tub, drink some tea (I requested a tea pot and cups from the kitchen from the front desk and they brought it), see the mountains and watch TV. I spent my last day this way and was extremely pleased. My only suggestion here is that they add a spa as I would've 100% used it while there!||||3) The gym was very new and in fantastic shape. The machines are the same as in the Equinox I go to in the US. There is a Smith Machine, free weights, ellipticals, bikes, treadmills, etc. There's a steam room and a sauna and a fantastic looking pool and hot tub with lots of great looking lounge chairs that I unfortunately couldn't partake in because I didn't have my swim suit (although they have them for sale, I didn't go for it). There's also two amazing ping pong tables in the "Kids' Area" including an adorable tiny pink ping pong table for kids! The paddles are new and in great shape.||||4) Loved the overall look of the hotel - it is really new and beautiful and with great water features and details on the walls and doors. ||||5) The lounge and food were also good. The only thing I would recommend is that they improve training of the bartenders, my cocktail was pretty awful even though the description sounded good. I ended up with a wine instead that was reliably good. There was live music in the lounge every night which was great! So was room service, great portions and good food. ||||6) Finally, staff were extremely solicitous and helpful! They helped me get taxis and ensure that they went to the proper location I wanted to go. They helped me with every request that I had. Staff at the gym were great. Overall HIGH level of service.||||Had no problems with the bed or...

We want to stay near to the lake in Wuxi, this is why choosing Marriot Hotel. It is not difficult to find my way to the hotel and it is situated quite near to the scenic spots. The hotel looks grand and new to me.
Check in is not taking a lot of time, the only problem is that they cannot find King size bed for us and gave us two double beds which is not good. But, it is how it is as when I book it, they have no guarantee for King size bed. Anyway, it is not the best feeling but ok.
As we have booked on the executive floor, we expect that Marriott will provide very good lounge service and food to us. But, this is not 100% the case. The service is very attentive and they try to help us every time. The only comment is that their food is not as good as we thought. Take the tea time, they are only serving a few biscuits, cookies and fruit, there is no small cakes or snacks. Drink is also limited. It doesn't serve the purpose of executive lounge.
During the happy hour by the evening, what it served is lack of varieties. It also not providing kind of signature dishes. It is very low cost stuffs with very limited choices. I feel like what is this? Anyway, we finished the happy hour and explore other eateries by ourselves.
The gym is good as the equipment is quite new and well maintained. I have frequented two times without complaints.
For the breakfast, varieties is ok but the service is below standard, we took it at the Wuxi kitchen instead of the executive lounge as the waiters has informed us that the variety of food is limited compared to Wuxi Kitchen. When we are served, we were put to the area where not so many other customers, it is good. But, the waitress didn't ask what we want to drink and we need to brew our own coffee which is one tag below compared to other Marriott.
Besides, the quality of the food is just ok, like croissant, doughs is not to the standard. Juice is not fresh, I think this is the area that kitchen need to...
