Xiangmei International Hotel — Hotel in Wuxi City

The Location of the Hotel is quite good if you have to do some business in this area. The View over the City is nice but the rooms are...well what can I say...typical Asian style rooms. Actually spacy but worn down. The mattress was not very comfy and the carpet looked ugly. The WiFi is super slow.and in some rooms almost impossible to get. The only coffee at the breakfast bar was out of a silver can and super strong. The nice Jura machine was never in use and when I asked they did not understand. So the 2in1 Instant coffee in your room is the best choice. During my fourth night at the first stay, the AC broke down with some weird voices. I called the front desk but again, no one understood a word. Was a bit frustrating. Also have to mention that some of the none Chinese food was already molding when I took it out (yes, no kidding! The arrival was handled efficiently and the rooms are adequate. A bit in need of refurbishment. The sink drain plug mechanism in the bathroom was pulled out and bent when I arrived making the plug difficult to operate. The toilet flush was not working properly, the handle rotating a full 360 degrees, sticking in one position and stopping the cistern filling. The room is comfortable but the drapes are badly in need of a clean. The in-room PC is hard wired to the LAN, but Windows XP???||||The room fridge was stocked but at $9 for a miniature, its taking the mickey, especially as two of the four miniatures were half empty despite the seal being intact.||||All in all an OK room, but nothing special.||||The WiFi is OK, but the network connection suffers from a serious lack of bandwidth rendering Skype all but useless - not good in this...
