Excellent service from check in to check out. English speaking staff made things much easier when we had questions about our stay.The room was a comfortable size. The addition of a soft and a firm pillow was great and allowed us to sleep well. The room was a little hot and we couldn't get any cool air from the air conditioning unit- a fan in the room would have been handy and would have made the stay even more comfortable. The bathroom was clean, spacious and the toiletries smelled amazing! The breakfast was definitely more Chinese than western, but it was fresh, varied and delicious. The location of the hotel is great. The subway is only 5 minutes walk away which is a bonus for getting around Xi'an. It was also nice to be able to see the city walls from our window. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again if we find ourselves in Xi'an...

Room: has all amenities like kettle, iron and ironing board, safe and everything you might need.Cleanliness: room, bathroom and toilet are perfectly clean. Special thanks to housekeeping team! Read moreThe Holiday Inn Express hotel in Xi’an was very disappointing. When we made the booking with Trip.com the information given said there were two restaurants, a cafe and lobby bar. This was untrue. I queried this immediately upon our arrival which was after 18.00 due to a delayed flight. I had called the hotel to let them know this. I told Trip.com that their information about the hotel was misleading and that we wished to cancel after our first night and obtain a refund. I said we were not happy. I was informed that we were not allowed to cancel or get a refund due to the hotel policy, even though the information on Trip.com said that cancellation was possible after 18.00.
