Xi'an Sofitel Renmin Hotel （West Gate） — Hotel in Xi'an

Beautiful hotel with very spacious and luxerious rooms. Wifi is fast and reliable, and there's also i decent gym and a large pool, which is free for everyone staying here. There's a ticket office on the ground floor which managed to get me tickets to a performance that TripAdvisor claimed was sold out, and they also offered a driver to take me to the location, which was relatively expensive compared to a regular taxi, but the Car was significantly nicer, and the driver was very professional and service minded. Driving much more cautions and comfortable than all the taxis you'll find in xi'an.

As for the drawbacks, breakfast is expensive even by European standard, and Is honestly a bit of a disappointment, there was a lot to choose from, but nothing was really that good, considering the price. I would also expect the reception of such a high class hotel to be better at English than they were. Communication was possibly, but difficult. And during my 4 week long trip across China, sofitel turned out to be the one with the worst...

This hotel is super central to everything and the staff are super attentive, helpful and friendly. My only downside is the air con does not work at all during the winter so the rooms can be unbearably stuffy, hence why this hotel did not get a 5...
