Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Xiamen Yuzhou — Hotel in Xiamen

I spent two nights at the Wyndham Grand hotel on a recent trip to Xiamen. Like most Chinese hotels the lobby was cavernous. That said it was clean and the service good. I did have key card issues with the elevator the entire trip. And, when you try and explain to staff they simply walk over with their card and immediately are granted access to the upper floors. This is one of two issues I had. The other, and this is common, is they shut of the AC at night so you wake up feeling like you're in a terrarium. Other than that I had a large, although oddly shaped room, very large sitting area and bathroom and it was quite clean. Breakfast is also very good with many different offerings. It's close to the bay and the walking path around the bay, right out the back door....

We really liked this hotel, we stayed for 2 weeks and it was comfortable with great modern bathrooms and design. The restaurant served great breakfasts and buffet dinners were great value and highly recommended. The swimming pool, gym and spa are also really nicely designed and we spent a lot of time in them, as well as walking around the boardwalks right by the hotel.
