They turned this Wyndham hotel in a quarantine hotel (during Covid-19 restrictions), so we have to stay here for 3 weeks. I need to say - that's the horrible experience. The room itself was OK, maybe little overpriced, but the seaview is fine. Main concerns are: restrictions, food and the internet. They would inspect your parcels (orders from outside), open them and in some cases will not deliver into the room for no reason (saying that is "governmental" restrictions). No written documents are shown on those restrictions at all. Internet is very slow and connection is not stable. If you are planning on staying - bring your own simcard with prepaid plan or some other solution. Zoom worked badly: delays, video and sound issues all the time. The food they offer is very limited (talking about the western-ish type of food) and overpriced. In case you want to order the food from outside, the hotel staff only deliver it in the room after 7PM, which means you can only order food for dinner from outside, and most likely the food will be cold. A/C in our room is probably old, so when it is very hot outside (higher than 33C), it cannot provide comfortable temperature in the room. I understand at least 2 of negative points are somehow covid-related, but I've heard from colleague who stayed in another hotel that he had no problem with outside...

A hotel that keeps saying it can't be done.
Since the lounge was under construction, I heard that lounge benefits were available at the cafe on the first floor, so I made a reservation.
When I arrived at the hotel, I was told number 3 that they couldn't do anything because the lounge was under construction.
They gave me the key and told me I could go up, so I asked them if they had forgotten anything, and they answered no. When I showed them the hotel reservation conditions, they gave me a name tag and two snacks as a special gift.
In the end, I went out to eat, and when I asked again, it turned out that I had given the wrong answer.
They say they can give you cake, fruit, and coffee just within three hours. I'm full, but it's amazing.
The weather was 30 degrees and the swimming pool was under construction so I couldn't use it.
The room above is under construction so there is a lot of noise. When a procession passes by outside, gunshots are loud and this is the worst luxury...
Read moreMy husband and I came to China for business. Unfortunately nowadays they have 3 weeks qurantine. We are very experienced and frequent travellers .Our business partner helped us to book Wyndham hotel and it turned out to be the worse experience ever! First of all their staff do not speak English so often it was tough to learn necessary information. It isn't 5* definitely. Our suite looks very shabby and dirty. I was very upset as I couldn't use drawers in the vanity as they were not clean enough. Second thing - their wi-fi is very -very slow it was impossible for us to participate in meetings and to do our job properly. Third - their food is disgusting and "western"options are very limited ond extremely overpriced. Actually there were almost no difference between chinese and western breakfast. So we decided to order outside, but they didn't allow us to delivery fresh food (for unknown reason) and they ended up opening our parcel, and we never wait reasonable explanation why. Their English speaking staff just ignored our questions and inquiries. ||So I would never recomnend to stay...
