We are 2 Titanium Elite members who booked Xiamen Marriott Hotel and Conference Centre mostly because of excellent reviews that we read. And we can confirm all of them, the ocean front location and the views from the hotel are breath taking and the running path that is just in front of a hotel is excellent for walking and jogging. The hotel grounds are in a perfect shape and variety and food offering was excellent.||||The most important aspect why we felt in love with this property is outstanding care for guests. From one side we were unfortunate to arrive in China few days before the Coronavirus situation dramatically escalated. But on the other side we were so happy to be in this hotel that really took care of us in this difficult situation. Especially Front Desk Manager Mrs. Vita Huang made us feel safe by providing us the masks that we were not able to buy by ourselves because of not having Chinese ID cards. She was always offering her help and we knew it that if we need anything we could contact her. Thank you Mrs. Huang for everything what you have done and your masks that help us safely return home.||||Finally due to the situation with flights being canceled we had to leave hotel 2 days before the planned check-out date. And even though we paid our stay with points and therefore had non-refundable rate, they promised to refund us points for the unused 2 days. We appreciate this very much because it proves that Xiamen Marriott Hotel and Conference Centre dos not use this difficult situation with Coronavirus to profit. We are so looking forward for our future stays in...
Read moreI was blown away by my stay at the Xiamen Marriott. I travel often in China and have stayed in many hotels but none have compare to this recent trip. Having only opened one month prior to my arrival I expected teething problems - but due to the hotel's close proximity to my meetings it was worth a gamble to stay outside of the city centre. To my surprise, from arrival to departure the service and overall design was flawless. The room was perfectly designed and very large for a standard room. They have thought of everything and have all the modern conveniences any traveller would want - USB sockets, HK/UK sockets, a very comfortable bed, a spa!, and a quality buffet with a luxurious seafood bar. I loved every minute and will definitely be back. My room rate came with buffet breakfast (the coffee is very good!) and a 60 min foot massage which was heavenly. It feels you're staying at a 5-star resort which brings a lot of relief after a long week of back to back factory visits and meetings. I never write reviews because it's not often that a hotel experience stands out - however Xiamen Marriott deserves the time. Really very impressed and definitely a world-class operation - I look forward...
Read moreThis hotel is still very new (probably opened around end of 2018) but the location on Google Maps is wrong. It is about 2km south of the current indicated location, directly at the beach. All the rooms have balconys and most of them have a very good view. My room was very nice and clean. The pools are very nice and clean (outdoor and indoor). I guess if the hotel is full, then it could be a problem that there are not so many sun chairs in the pool area. But the Chinese don't really like to hang-out at the pool anyway. The beach is very close, but you are not supposed to go swimming there. Between the hotel and the beach there is a wide jogging and biking path. The restaurants (Fish bar and Japanese restaurant on the third floor and the buffet restaurant can also all be recommended). This hotel is good for a short vacation combined with a conference or customer visits nearby. Next to the hotel they currently build a Renaissance hotel which will probably be finished around end of 2019. Other than that there are no other places nearby (no Hotels or...
