Lin'an Hotel — Hotel in Yunnan

Hotel is located in beautiful Yunnan Province, China. Was there for official business seminar and I must say the hotel is spectacular. Was a part of the highlight of my trip. Truly resort style.||||The staff were very professional and welcoming and were always willing to assist although some did not speak English but the ones who did made everything so much easier. I have no complaints about this hotel.||||The rooms were clean, and the layout was typical of Chinese hotels however I must say the rooms were spacious and felt cozy. They were also very bright with a lot of natural light, which was a bit of a surprise for me because all the other hotels I stayed at on this trip were kind of dark.||||The hotel had a swimming pool, a recreational space, bowling alley, billiards room, ping pong and other activities I cant quite remember. I think there is a piano bar as well, though I never quite found it.||||The staff made this hotel spectacular though, they went above and beyond, they were just so helpful and pleasant. ||||The restaurant was also very good, had a wide variety of Chinese dishes each day which were tasty, although I have a love/hate relationship with authentic Chinese food. Bad surprise when arriving, as our reservation was not registered because of surbooking (golden week for chinese new year).we booked through booking two months before.After arguing mixed with my bad chines and their bad english we finally got a nice room with small living room.quite good.The place is a bit noisy but we could cope with that. We had breakfast included,unfortunately breakfast was outside the hôtel in a very small place were they served only chinese spicy breakfast😀.But we are in China isn't it? .As my wife couldn't eat spicy chinese breakfast we found a place were they sold some kind of brioche and cake for small price.so ,not...

The hotel is situated right outside the North Gate to the old city and is within walking distance of all major sites. Our 15th floor room overlooked the gate.||The hotel is large and well appointed and the foyer sets the scene for what awaited upstairs. Our lovely spacious room had two queen sized beds, a comfy chair and ottaman, a vast TV screen and a business work station. The WiFi worked perfectly as did all the bathroom fixtures, a rare treat in rural China.||We enjoyed an excellent evening meal in private rooms and a great breakfast...
