Our holidaying at Zhangjiajie was memorable not just because of the most astounding natural beauty of the place but also because of one of the most memorable experiences at the hotel we stayed in: ‘Harmona Resort and Spa’. The warm and friendly staff here created a very welcoming atmosphere. We experienced excellent customer service with friendly and approachable attitude displayed by every member of the staff. They had the ability to anticipate needs of guests and respond promptly.Though we did not know Mandarin, we never felt isolated because of the extra length the staff went to translate using technology. The staff also handled specific requests quickly and were excellent in resolving issues. We had problem with our electrical plugs and adapters. Cherry from the Front Desk patiently spent hours and found a solution that allowed us to charge all our electronics on the local system. The staff particularly at the restaurants displayed cultural awareness and showed sensitivity to our vegetarian meal requests. Special mention must be made of Front Desk Staff particularly Cherry who positively responded instantaneously to any of our requests. Housekeeping Staff also responded immediately to our request for sorting out the WiFi issue. I and my wife would like to specially thank Hq Du, an extremely pleasant and helpful lady at the restaurant where we had our daily breakfast. Donghua and Fang ant this place also went out of the way to make the daily breakfast an experience to remember. All the three anticipated our needs and were always friendly and cheerful.They walk the talk in customer service. When my wife did not go for buffet breakfast as she was working out, they insisted on packing the breakfast for her. Also, on the day we were leaving, they packed take away food for the road. This was highly thoughtful of them. The staffs are very polite, Cherry- was more helpful and we got struck after one of the sight seeing in night time, she immediately arranged hotel car for us to comeback and food was ordered to our room directly. This was really appreciable and really she was great and 100 % supportive. Apart from that ok kind of breakfast including Indian traveler who don't eat beef and pork. The all staffs are very polite and helpful. Apart from these the another important person was Hq.Du - The great support in restaurant to get our Veg food during breakfast and another person from night time Cantonese restaurant, the live performer (Really sorry and don't know her name - she helped us to get customized Indian friend rice by translating to chef and helped us in great way. Special thanks to both of them. We all 4 remember these 3 persons from Harmona resort.Cons: Except the Mrs. Cherry nobody can speak in English , not even they know English numbers. The only one person called Cherry , can speak fluent English, so you have complete dependency with her or translate app.All are ok but, the last day after checkout , the message from hotel was shocking and that's not good for Hotel management. i got message as There was bathroom slippers and one of the umbrella was missing. I informed them, open the balcony and there those slippers and umbrella was there, They opened and they able to see those missing items. But the reputation of this Harmona hotel was down to zero from 100 %. Very sorry management team, this is not a good way to treat a customers. We are international traveler and coming for scenic spot and enjoy the nature with family and kids. We spent around 7000 HKD and paid 1035 HKD as caution deposit, we can buy those slippers for 10 Yuen and 15 Yuen we can get those umbrella buy us , for these no need to spent ~25000 HKD and travel in High speed train for 2 days and take it and return. This made us not to go back again to Harmona. Please don't ask anything before checking the room properly. Guests are paying in $ for peaceful mind. All these are recorded in chat and still am getting shame on stayed in Harmona while seeing those chats. Please don't spoil.
