Fuport Hotel Zhangzhou Yuanshan — Hotel in Zhangzhou City

This must be my worst stay in a hotel for the last 3 years. The rooms are huge but their sound proof is so bad that when anyone on the same floor closes his door, my room door quakes. So you can imagine how you feel when you are in deep sleep and you are suddenly awaken by a loud bang. Every so often. Middle of the night. Secondly, the aircon in the room continuously blew cold air. Seems this is the setting of their central aircon and my room was an icy 20 degrees throughput.Location wise, it is near the old town but not so near that you can easily walk. Yes there are limited public buses but limited services near the hotel and their frequency leaves much to be desired. Your best bet is go for ride hailing. Fortunately these are very affordable and the city of Zhangzhou is small.Safety box in the room did not work. And yes I did follow the operating instructions On the plus side, hotel has outdoor hot spring pools but I didn’t try them as the weather was too cold.Manager apologised profusely and tried to compensate us with fruits and bottled water. In my mind it did not make up for 4 nights of poor...

Chose them over other hotel because of its water park for kids. They didn’t inform us that their water park is closed under maintenance until we were there. Their outdoor swimming pool is also closed. My kid was so happy until we see the closed park.

At the breakfast buffet restaurant, I was waiting for the staff to slowly clear the table and place the cutleries, they work like flash from zootopia, other customer that comes later just sit down in front of me and the staff didn’t even bother to say anything. I sit at another table with dirty stuffs and it takes like 20 mins for the staff to clear the table, place a new mat and cutleries and to my amaze, they only put the cutlery where I sit for the table is for 4…..

Excellent hotel with large clean rooms, no smoke, great amenities, not much parking, free two bottles of water. Check out the photos. Free tea refreshments in the main lobby. Internet password is 88888 as of this review. I would recommend in this area. Great views with balcony. I would highly recommend rooms with double bed for a larger room. The hot springs or hot water pools are nice, they use epson bath salt water and there are dozens of big and small pools, well worth the price. Various free tea stands with different tastes are placed throughout the pools. Word of caution, bring a hair cap to use any of the pools that might have your hair submerged, the staff is sensitive to exposed hair, probably try to maintain cleanliness which is...
