Sheraton Hotel — Hotel in Zhanjiang City

Zhanjiang is my second hometown here. Sheraton should be the first international hotel in Zhanjiang, I have no choice but to bear the poor service.

The staff is kindly upgrading my room into SUITE when checking in, since I am an SPG Platinum Member. But this point is the mere one advantage I could tell. After entering the room, water bottles were found one in sitting room, another one in bed room toilet. So I dialed to the staff to ask how many free bottles are available in the suite, and "SIX bottles" is answered. Obviously they didn't match, and I had to ask the staffs to bring remaining FOUR bottles. After all, I found the staff, seems to be very busy, cut off my line quickly.

I went back hotel next day afternoon, and it let me feeling stranger. Sofa was not arranged. Kept the same as I went out in the morning. Water bottles were still not sufficient. Gave four bottles to me. The cleaning staff took out the room key card without any notice, when dialing to the staff, I was requested to go front desk, it is quite a bit troublesome and blamed it, Then, the LIGHT POINT, the staff on guest telephone cut off too quickly, seems very very busy. I was not told either waiting in the room or going to the front desk. I had to dial again! By the way, the breakfast in Feast is too crowded.

The date is Feb10 to 12, which is a period of Chinese New Year, and huge demanding to the hotel business. But I don't think it is an execuse to have...

The last time I visited Zhanjiang was almost 30 years ago when I was a student. Recently, it was said bullet train between Guangzhou and Zhanjiang is available. So during our trip to China, we decided to spend couple days in Zhanjiang. ||||In my memory, Zhanjiang is a small city in rural area. To my surprise, Zhanjiang is well developed in the past 5+ years. Civil architects and engineers did a good job, learned from experience of other cities and built Zhanjiang in modern fashion and positioned itself for further development. Everything in the city is so new and up to standard. ||||Sheraton is quite new. Room is very big and well equipped. A big advantage is it is facing the bay with very beautiful sea view. The restaurant in the hotel is also under good management. The Chinese food is quite authentic. ||||Overall, it was a big surprise that Zhanjiang is well devloped and Sheraton hotel is so beyond...
