Courtyard by Marriott Zhengzhou Airport — Hotel in Zhengzhou

From the moment I walked into the beautiful, new hotel. I knew I would have a great experience.

Maggie and Angel (staff that I knew from a previous Courtyard where they worked) recognized me and sought to make me feel like a queen. They succeeded. Check-in was wonderful because I got the chance to catch-up with them both. There was a little hiccup with using the AmEx SPG. However, that was fixed and all was right with the world.

The lobby and lobby lounge are both very impressive. The decor is modern and appealing. Also, the restaurant is on the first floor which is quite nice as well.

Boris showed me to my room and was quite welcoming and warm on the way up and put my things in my room. The suite was gorgeous.

The suite: 1 bedroom 1 1/2 baths. Floor to ceiling windows in both the living room and the bedroom. The bed was the nice soft, Marriott beds that make you never want to leave. The bathroom with separate tub, separate shower and toilet was also quite nice.In all, the suite was spacious, light and airy with plenty of lighting. Loved every minute there.

Breakfast: Breakfast at the restaurant was great. Steven (manager) and Sarah (server) were very welcoming and wanted to assure that I had a wonderful meal. But Feix took the cake. He fixed me a pancake and strawberry concoction (without my asking) that was very good. It was just such a nice gesture. Haven't had that experience at any of the other hotels that I have stayed at. It made me feel truly special.

Surrounding area: As for the surrounding area, it is an area that is being built up. But there are two parks within walking distance that will be beautiful in the Spring and summer.

Checkout: Checkout was a breeze and I was on my way. I had such a good time. I almost hated to leave.

Shuttle: It is not advertised on the Marriott site, as the shuttle is pretty new. But there is a shuttle from the hotel to the airport at 9 am, 10 am and 11 am. I took the shuttle to the airport, as opposed to taking Didi (Uber).

Overall, a fantastic experience and as I type this review, I have a reservation already scheduled. See you soon my friends at Courtyard Marriott...

Used Courtyard airport hotel twice in one week,before and after business trip, on both occasions I was impressed with the place and staff. Respected twice as platinum elite member and upgraded to suite. Executive lounge is very good, and has a good selection. Staff member Vicky was very helpful and most polite. On my 2nd visit 3 nights later the food options were identical, not sure if intentional, but if I was a visitor for local business I would soon be questioning this, for me it was fine. Suite is very good, I do question the shower , toilet drop down blind effectiveness as I thought it is a little thin, only small point for consideration For my 1st checkout at 6am, I was too early for breakfast so I was given a pack up bag. Taxi was pre booked and the driver wanted 50 rmb fare as it was snowing, it should be 20 maybe for local people, in the end I paid 30. Mr Tony staff member was most helpful and polite who remembered me and again was most helpful Hotel is Ideally located nearly many restaurants Hotel provide shuttle services on an hourly basis 7 to 10am to the airport and then 7 to 10, maybe 11pm from the airport. 2nd visit had breakfast and found it good, some foods were dry as they had been left out too long. Chose this courtyard hotel due to a morning flight the next day out of zhengzhou International airport. Only stayed one night and absolutely loved it.

Front desk and housekeeping was hospitable and helpful. The majority of China hotel front desk staff only speaks Mandarin but the two persons I dealt with here spoke English fluently and were super efficient.

Premises were new and rooms were modern, spacious and clean as were the amenities and bathroom. Breakfast had a great variety of dishes and I thoroughly enjoyed the tasty noodles, porridge, dim sum and coffee.

Even though a very short stay, everything here made it an excellent stay. Great hotel for leisure or for business and convenient 15min drive to the airport. However, nothing too much to do within...
